This roller coaster uses brake fins as soon as it finishes the launch while climbing the first hill - the rest of the ride is much slower than its record breaking speed. This roller coaster is a gimmick.
Well they DO slam on the brakes a lot in F1. Fact is the brakes of F1 cars are the really impressive part of their performance. They can come to a dead halt from 240km/h (150mph) in very few seconds. They once compared a roadcar braking from the same speed, and it took more than twice the distance and way more time to come to a stop.
In Monza for instance they accelerate to about 300km/h (186mph) and then brake violently going into the first chicane, that is Formula 1 racing...
Americans are so jealous because the Arabs have all the cool stuff, exotic women, oil, oasis environment, and a kick ass coaster, while their corrupt, arrogant, ignorant, sleazy country is going down hill. That is a kick-ass dome, and alothough not themed to everyones taste it seems like it would be a amazing exsperience to ride it. 0 - 100 mph in 2 seconds WOW ! the fastest i have been in 2 seconds is 60/70 mph on a rollercoaster and the took me back i cant being to imagen what 100 mph would do. And even then thats just the start 240 mph.

Yea really suprised at the lack of G's but the car design of the coaster is awesome. Still it's Ferrari and Formula One. That thing should practically snap your head off with G forces. @bartool tried it today it was insane.. the fun part was the speed, the first speed burst is crazy. i tried many roller coasters before, but this one was a bit unique , it was more about the insane speed ( and remember you're in open air) rather than the loops,huge drops and the g-force. the second time i rode it was even more fun.

That is a kick-ass dome, and alothough not themed to everyones taste it seems like it would be a amazing exsperience to ride it. 0 - 100 mph in 2 seconds WOW ! the fastest i have been in 2 seconds is 60/70 mph on a rollercoaster and the took me back i cant being to imagen what 100 mph would do. And even then thats just the start 240 mph.
I wonder if it will live up to its exspectations ...

This is gonna be just like ring racer. It gets so fucking fast and then slows down only to climb to maybe 200 feet at best. They keep all the good coasters in north america :P

@thekorksta just look at it this way. Do you really want to SLOW DOWN after you get to that speed? This is just stupid. If you are gonna make some so-called "ground breaking" coaster, at least have it like KingDa Ka and Top Thrill Dragster had it. Make the coaster have some massive drop or anything that won't make you slow the damn thing down. That is just being lazy.

Yea really suprised at the lack of G's but the car design of the coaster is awesome. Still it's Ferrari and Formula One. That thing should practically snap your head off with G forces. I'm a bit disappointed but it's not like I'm going to get a chance to ride it anyway. Yea, Abu Dhabi just didn't make it onto my vacation list this year.

@F1Podcast okay, atleast 4g....how many people do you think would black out from that?..consider the strained neck muscles because people arent used to even being propelled to 1.7 gs 89%of this world has never been past 130 in a car, let alone get to 150 in 4 seconds..or let alone going 180-190 or even exceeding 200 mph would be suicide to any normal human out there..there is a reason that in hundred years of roller coasters the fastest weve gone is 150 for a few seconds of the ride.

@bartool 3gs of acceleration is the max they will allow on a roller coaster 5gs is about max for beeing pushed down in ur seat about 2 to 3gs being pushed out of ur seat so its a good amount even though it dosnt seem like much

@bartool tried it today it was insane.. the fun part was the speed, the first speed burst is crazy. i tried many roller coasters before, but this one was a bit unique , it was more about the insane speed ( and remember you're in open air) rather than the loops,huge drops and the g-force. the second time i rode it was even more fun.
