I know many people don't like how slowly you play this but I actually prefer it at this speed. And I don't care if this wasn't meant for acoustic guitar, it still sounds good. Maybe it's just me, but it somehow seems more romantic being played this way rather than the "proper" way.
If it works and sounds good then it's fine by me - maybe it's easier for him this way.
All the great guitarist have their little cheats and tricks - often they just grab as much of a chord as is called for in the situation - sometimes just two strings - to make it easier to play comes next or give it a special effect or atmosphere.
you need to work on your speed. the song is usually faster than this.. but great work also.. i do have a slighty different cords but w/e its still ok.

I like it slow - very melancholic.
In the "film version" ( "Jeux interdit" ) it's also played very slow.
Good job, Asian - keep working on it and the timing and I sm sure it will soon be perfect.
