ill try keep my respiration during your inmerce .. ajaja but even i cant hold the breath for a minute... n,n by the way, you look to much the guy make a movie called deep blue.. thats awesome brother..
@shirosaru After reading your insipid description of the physiological effects of depriving your brain of oxygen and the result of the "build up" you may be a candidate for what I posted. Most people hold their breath at orgasm, triggering a cascade of chemicals in the brain that enhance the experience. Some peoples brain's react to these chemicals like it does with opiates, needing more and more. Just a matter of time til your found with your pants off and a plastic bag over your head.
@lawnsausages I hope that my romanticized writing style hasn't confused you. Apnea is a sport, as well as hobby for many people in the tropics. Breath hold diving is used by many professional underwater photographers, snorkelers, and Hunters. It is a natural way to interact with the aquatic world and should not be confused with any sexual fetish.
@shirosaru I know it's a sport/hobby I saw The Big Blue. (Jean Reno was brilliant.) I wouldn't call, "A hot electric feeling is building up in my groin" romanticized, (I think prosaic is a better description) but unconsciously or otherwise it was the focus of what you wrote.
@metelfann3 It might seem that way. But it is actually not true. In real world dives to wrecks at 80-100' below water, my dives were more comfortable and lasted an average of 10-20 seconds longer.
I suppose you didnt completely exhale because you are still floating and you are not at the bottom. if I totally exhale I just touch the bottom with my face and the whole body. beside of that, pretty good!
@blodygi I do facial immersions and proper breathing for 3 minutes as a warm up. Doing a proper warm up will boost your breath hold abilities tremendously.
Just came across this and did you notice how in the middle it looks like you are not in water at all? And I like the way the light changes while you are under.
when im doing dynamic underwater swimming, how do you know when to stop for some air? I can now do a 50 meter swim underwater, but i don't know how I am supposed to feel when i'm supposed to stop.
@underh20 Do not hyperventilate ! Hyperventilating scrubs out all your co2, which makes you feel good while holding your breath. The problem with this is it does it too well. Your body uses the co2 to know how much air your body still has left. When you hyperventilate your 02/c02 balance is out of whack.. this can result in black outs with no warning. There are other techniques besides hyperventilating that help. I will try to put up a How to video within the the week.
@shirosaru Looking forward to your video. I've been told that one should not hyperventilate for more than 3 times before going under. Apparently, it's not recommended according to you. Thanks for the great comment !!

An FRC is only an exhale to residual capacity. It should not a forced exhale
