Even False Prophets can give true prophecies (Deut 13: 1-3). The difference is that they will tempt you to worship other gods. God will allow this to test us whether we love the Lord with all our heart

I feel the ff statements of Jesus are taken out of context: "my kingdom is not of this world" / 'give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar..." During that time, the Jews were under a foreing ruler, which is a form of judgment to their nation. Jesus prioritized conquering their hearts first, which would eventually lead to their liberation from their oppressors.

The Woman and the Dragon 1A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
@TheologianZ In Revelation chapter 12, the woman is described as "clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars" (Revelation 12:1). Note the similarity between this description and the description that Joseph gave of his father Jacob (Israel) and his mother and their children (Genesis 37:9-11). The stars refer to the twelve tribes of Israel. So the woman in Revelation 12 is Israel.
@TheologianZ Additional evidence is that in Revelation 12:2-5, the passage speaks of the woman being with child and giving birth. While it is true that Mary gave birth to Jesus, it is also true that Jesus, the son of David from the tribe of Judah, came from Israel. In a real sense, Israel gave birth—or brought forth—Christ Jesus.
@TheologianZ Further evidence for this is in 12:5 where the Scripture says that the woman "gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne." Clearly, this is describing Jesus. Jesus will one day establish His kingdom on earth (Revelation 20:4-6), and He will rule it. This verse also makes reference to Jesus' ascension to heaven 40 days after His resurrection (Acts 1:9-11)

When it speaks of the woman fleeing into the wilderness for 1,260 days, it is referring to the future time called the tribulation period. Twelve hundred sixty days is 42 months of 30 days each. 42 months is 3 1/2 years. Halfway through the tribulation period, the beast will set an image of himself up in the temple that will be built in Jerusalem. This is the abomination that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15 and
@TheologianZ Mark 13:14. When the beast does this, he breaks the peace pact he made with Israel, and the nation has to flee for safety (also see Matthew 24; Daniel 9:27). This is the picture of the woman fleeing into the wilderness.
Revelation 12:12-17 speaks of how the devil will make war against Israel, trying to destroy her (Satan knows his time is short, relatively speaking—see Revelation 20:1-3, 10).
@TheologianZ It also speaks of how God will protect Israel while in the wilderness. This wilderness place where Israel will flee is believed to be a place called Petra. Note Revelation 12:14 where it says that Israel will be protected from the devil for "a time, times, and half a time (a time = 1 year -- 3 1/2 years).

Test? What test? How can you test a nation which is not yet fully christianized nation? Claiming to be a christian nation but internally a plunderer and a hypocrite? God can show that it is His WILL for candidate X to be the president, but if the people will choose candidate Y based on human standards or other reasons, God may not intervene unless He said He will. To be fair, Cindy Jacobs DID NOT SAY that Bro. Eddie will be the next president, NOR did she say that God will intervene in the elections; Jacobs ONLY said it is the will of God, and it means voters can still vote for whomever they will.
@thepolyglot2009 so you mean to say God's Will was defeated by Man's will? Then why prophesy? Is God an all knowing God? Did He not know that His Will is going to be defeated by men? Why declare a president when it is not going to happen? Obviously this Cindy Jacobs is not a prophet of God, because if she was there will be confirmation and even signs that will accompany that prophecy. Unfortunately bro. @TheologianZ There are many instances in the Bible where God clearly stated His will for the Jews, but they did not obey his will. It's because God gave humans the freedom of choice or FREE WILL. The PROBLEM is we often make ASSUMPTIONS. If God asks us to run for public office, don't assume that He will make us win unless He clearly stated that we will win, because our defeat may also have a purpose which we will find out later.

@TheologianZ I find your reasoning based on the NATURAL mindset. OBEDIENCE to God can cause a lot, and it may even embarrass you, but it's actually a TEST. Many people disobey God because they don't see the SENSE of obeying Him sometimes. God is testing us if we will trust in His GREATER WISDOM which He will reveal later. (I'm not necessarily applying this to Bro. Eddie's defeat, but in a GENERAL SENSE)

No distinction between a true one to a false one... So every prophet of any religion you do believe.. But not me, I do test every spirit. In the OT, the Israelites PERSISTED to have a human king, even though it was NOT God's will (I Samuel 8:5-22). So, God allowed it, and He gave them a king (Saul) based on human standards to their great disadvantage. God DID NOT IMPOSE His will on the Israelites whom He'd given FREE WILL.
CLARIFICATION: Cindy Jacobs DID NOT PROPHESY that Bro. Eddie will BECOME the NEXT president, unlike in Pacheco of Costa Rica. Jacobs ONLY said that God had shown her it is HIS WILL for him to be the president (6:50-7:00). God never imposes HIS WILL on man whom He has given FREE WILL.

Now, if you don't believe her, that's a different story. If you are a true Christian, you may sincerely ask God in prayer who to vote for. But you cannot label Ms Jacobs false prophet in this case. King Saul became King even though it was NOT THE WILL OF GOD, but it happened because the Israelites persisted. It is God's WILL that everyone be saved and go to Heaven, but many go to Hell every day. God's will is stated in the Bible but many people are not following His command.

It is because of this so called prophecy that Eddie Villanueva fueled his political delusions. There is no prophet that speaks other than what is declared in Scripture. I do not believe in modern self-proclaimed prophets or apostles as they teach a very mystical gospel message. A real prophet or apostle these days are those faithfully working to spread the gospel.

I love the Philippines & have been a missionary from England for many years. Even with 40 years bible study, I still love to know more of the Lord's abundant Grace. Yes, Jesus will return soon. Jacobs is a false "profit". Jacobs spoke this stuff over 4yrs ago & gave no bible quotes. Satan is the deceiver & uses great powers in these last days to deceive many. @sherkspear Don't know what you said, but by the scripture you assume that if God said it it would happen, but if you knew that many times in the word God spoke His will for people and in that word they had a choice to do there part to see that word come to pass in there life, yes God can move sovereignly. But we can stop the will of God from being fullfilled in our life by not doing our part. In this case the nation didn't rise up to support Him and thats why, Be Blessed!!

That is a problem when a woman is not inside the Church of God which is in the bible and didnt know her place.. 1 Tim.2:11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. ---And poor Eddie, he give woman to talk to his own church.

You have to be extremely careful about prophesy.
If you want to discern real prophecy, look into the history of prophets of Old Testaments and the New, in book of Revelation.
"thus saith the Lord" when you say that you are putting yourself in the position. All prophecy has to be authenciated and be in line with the word of God.

I agree totally with the verse that you quoted. even false prophets hit the target once in a while so to speak, meaning they land correct prophecies every now and then. But if we would notice, that is not the case here.
Mrs. Jacobs claims that her prophecy regarding Bro. Eddie were divinely inspired, and as we have all witnessed, it did not come true. So, biblically speaking, we can safely say what she said did not come from the Lord, but from her hearts' pride.

It is the people that govern who are corrupt, not politics itself. I had a teacher who had worked in a govt agency. She was mocked by her colleagues coze she hadn't joined them in their corruption (they had cars, expensive items, etc). She said she knew in her heart the principle of sowing/reaping. She may steal from the people, but she may reap it in her children: they may become pregnant in their teens, or a drug addict, etc.

In the middle ages & prehispanic times, religious people abused their power because, based on their fruit, they didn't have true relationship with God. @TheologianZ Further evidence for this is in 12:5 where the Scripture says that the woman "gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne." Clearly, this is describing Jesus. Jesus will one day establish His kingdom on earth (Revelation 20:4-6), and He will rule it. This verse also makes reference to Jesus' ascension to heaven 40 days after His resurrection (Acts 1:9-11)

When it speaks of the woman fleeing into the wilderness for 1,260 days, it is referring to the future time called the tribulation period. Twelve hundred sixty days is 42 months of 30 days each. 42 months is 3 1/2 years. @TheologianZ Mark 13:14. When the beast does this, he breaks the peace pact he made with Israel, and the nation has to flee for safety (also see Matthew 24; Daniel 9:27). This is the picture of the woman fleeing into the wilderness.
Revelation 12:12-17 speaks of how the devil will make war against Israel, trying to destroy her (Satan knows his time is short, relatively speaking—see Revelation 20:1-3, 10).

@TheologianZ It also speaks of how God will protect Israel while in the wilderness. This wilderness place where Israel will flee is believed to be a place called Petra. Note Revelation 12:14 where it says that Israel will be protected from the devil for "a time, times, and half a time (a time = 1 year -- 3 1/2 years).

So sa 2012 ay magiging 7,000 years na ang earth. Which sa Diyos ang isang libongtaon ay katumbas lang ng isang araw sa Kanya. God can show that it is His WILL for candidate X to be the president, but if the people will choose candidate Y based on human standards or other reasons, God may not intervene unless He said He will. To be fair, Cindy Jacobs DID NOT SAY that Bro. Eddie will be the next president, NOR did she say that God will intervene in the elections; Jacobs ONLY said it is the will of God, and it means voters can still vote for whomever they will.

@TheologianZ There are many instances in the Bible where God clearly stated His will for the Jews, but they did not obey his will. It's because God gave humans the freedom of choice or FREE WILL. The PROBLEM is we often make ASSUMPTIONS. If God asks us to run for public office, don't assume that He will make us win unless He clearly stated that we will win, because our defeat may also have a purpose which we will find out later.

@TheologianZ I find your reasoning based on the NATURAL mindset. OBEDIENCE to God can cause a lot, and it may even embarrass you, but it's actually a TEST. Many people disobey God because they don't see the SENSE of obeying Him sometimes. God is testing us if we will trust in His GREATER WISDOM which He will reveal later. (I'm not necessarily applying this to Bro. Eddie's defeat, but in a GENERAL SENSE)

No distinction between a true one to a false one... So every prophet of any religion you do believe.. But not me, I do test every spirit. I test if the prophecy really came from God and whether it came from the Devil or from the human mind.. Its fulfillment is what really counts...

@TheologianZ Tanggap ko reply mo, but naman wala tayong offense sa isa't isa. Alam mo, di rin kita masisi kung ganyan interpretation mo sa sinabi niya; iba rin kasi interpretation namin. Sa case 1 & 2, nagprophesy sya; sa case 3 (Eddie V.) hindi. Ung anointing ni Eddie, parang authorization lang sa pagtakbo nya. BTW, naniniwala din ako sa false prophet, pero maingat ako maglabel. In the OT, the Israelites PERSISTED to have a human king, even though it was NOT God's will (I Samuel 8:5-22). So, God allowed it, and He gave them a king (Saul) based on human standards to their great disadvantage. God DID NOT IMPOSE His will on the Israelites whom He'd given FREE WILL.

CLARIFICATION: Cindy Jacobs DID NOT PROPHESY that Bro. Eddie will BECOME the NEXT president, unlike in Pacheco of Costa Rica. Jacobs ONLY said that God had shown her it is HIS WILL for him to be the president (6:50-7:00). God never imposes HIS WILL on man whom He has given FREE WILL.
