They don't move things by looking at them. You should check out James Randi. He's done some great work exposing scams like that, and many others. He did a Nova special in which he went over about a dozen different kinds of scams like that one, and showed how they're all faked. He tested some too, and you get to see it all fall apart upon close examination.

Everyone has their own opinion on satanism, some see it as pure evil, you see it as self worship. I am a cinematographer, I won't mind to make a documentary about all of this.

When I was a kid I always felt like a freak because neither god or jesus was talking to me like he was talking to my relatives. I didn't realise until I was older that I was actually having logical thoughts at 5 years old about something that didn't really exist. hmmm... i think you aren't quite as well informed as you could be. killing cats is NOT part of contemporary satanism. maybe part of the creepy teenager satanism but not the regular kind. ritual/black magic is up to some interpretation some regard it as a symbolic ceremony of human carnal emotions and a means of allowing your desires to be enhanced or released depending on what your intentions are. satanism is more a philosophy than a religon. do a bit of research wikipedia has a good page on it

errm... i generally tend to avoid people who have homocidal tendancies based on the fact that y'know they kill people. there was a guy on modernchurchofsatan who was "contraversial" to say the least. he dropped between greek orthodox and his own version of theistic satanism. someone tipped the fbi about him and apparantly he needs psychiatric care. i'd avoid this kind of person purely because they wouldnt hesitate to kill you (or have delusional fantasies about killing you, the guy was batshit)

They don't move things by looking at them. You should check out James Randi. He's done some great work exposing scams like that, and many others. He did a Nova special in which he went over about a dozen different kinds of scams like that one, and showed how they're all faked. He tested some too, and you get to see it all fall apart upon close examination.

I grew up in Indiana and was surrounded by people who told me I was going to hell. I thought I was the only one. In my town, I WAS the only one.

I'm not sure if the problem is in what we might believe personally. Why are we so preoccupied with what others believe?
I am human and I have spiteful thoughts about others and various fantasies about a God that is on my side etc. Any particular religion gives a structure to that kind of thinking and also justifies it. I prefer to keep my dirty thoughts to myself rather than pursuade others that these thoughts might be divinely inspired.

If "In Zeus we trust" was put on our money many born-agains would have a problem with that. They would do what we Atheists are doing. i know this because I used to be one of them.

yeah cuz thats a specific God, God is not a name. its a title. so the term god can be taken anyway the reader wants to take it. whether be an actual god, spirit or energy. or just a symbol that you have faith in something/anything. God is not a christian term

"in god we trust" was not always on our money so why put it on now?? if the gov wants to put something on our money it could put "in the Bill of Rights we trust". or "in people we trust"

Sandman: would it sit well with you if christiand were banned from holding public office? Would you ok with everyone making laws based on a book that said you were an adulterer? Would you just sit by and keep quiet? What if Islamists started taking over and the women in your family had to be veiled or risk being killed? Is that a good idea?

sandman3698----Sure, children can't choose certain things for themselves, but one thing adults should afford them because of that is mental liberty. Millions of children and adults around the world are trapped in having to believe in religions, and act for them. All of my classmates were, just like me. Religion just isn't needed in child-rearing.

yeah i was made to go to church and read the bible also. but you then you know what happened? i realized that i didnt want to be that anymore so i converted. just like you. so you ever stop and think that maybe they like the religion they are practicing? once we mature we have a choice, now matter what upbringing, and its the right of the parent to raise their child how they think is best

religion & goverments r condoning human primitivity,But I cant help but think there is a higher more powerful life-form,if u look all around u all of this didnt spark from random event, everything shows design and nething tangible shows the clues of higher being whom created everything around us, I dont believe in the bible, But I do belive that everything created was a plan and that my exsistance WASNT a event of all but impossible chances, I do have faith that there is sumthing else.

We don't need to invent a god or "higher power" but if you really want one, think of nature as that higher power. At least that's real...

You say you used to be a christian, then if you truly asked God for forgiveness of your sins and trusted in Jesus as your saviour you are going to Heaven even if you do not believe in God anymore, the Bible says I will never forsake you or leave you. You will only go to Heaven if you truly trusted in Jesus as your saviour and repented of your sins, you must also have a willingness to turn from your old ways and follow Christ's ways. Are you really sure your playing it safe by doing your own thing? and then you will still go to Heaven.

To aajoeyjo: I'm new to YouTube and just watched your video. Do you know if Mr. Fenn or Flynn still makes the freethought signs like the one you showed. I had ordered a few when I was Vice-Director for the Conn. Chapter of American Atheists back in the 1980's.

Gwaithmir---I don't know who exactly made the sign, other than to say American Atheists. It was used as early as the 1980s though. Now AA only buys plastic, waterproof black and white only picket signs. So this one is a bit of a museum piece. :o)

neomp5--I see now. I believe have to utilize faith and belief in our everyday existence, in a secular manner, or else go insane with hesitation before making any move. We just don't think about those little leaps of faith, but without them, existence itself would be a larger mess than it currently is. However I respect the idea of preferring knowledge to faith. Knowledge is clearly superior.

It really is a shame about people like us. I myself am an atheist, why? Because it choses fact over fiction. Whenever we speak out however, we are "evil", and since America, and most of Canada (where I live). What makes them so damn right?! They were they crosses and symbols high, so if we do anything that counters that, we are evil?!! NO! RELIGION IS EVIL.

Not for one second does he validate his own religion, and WE have some burden of dis-proof. lolol In the end, there is dignity is letting go of an invisible friend, and moving on with reality. :o)

When I was a kid I always felt like a freak because neither god or jesus was talking to me like he was talking to my relatives. I didn't realise until I was older that I was actually having logical thoughts at 5 years old about something that didn't really exist. Hope your videos help out others who feel the same way and can't figure out why.

I think all beliefs/religions are correct, even non belief, as long as it leads to peace and acceptance of others.. and of course, non violence.. So be good to each other, my atheist friends.. even if you think us believers have some kind of a learning disability..
