Avatar is a very good movie when it comes to graphics and visual effects but its story had been done before and it was far from being creative and powerful. Titanic is a true story that is capturing and this movie created such a powerful story of love and freedom that captured the hearts of many!

I guess I'm one of the rare few that thought Avatar was overhyped. I thought it was good with the high quality artwork and such. Many of the scenes were very visually appealing to the eye, but for me that was the main thing. It was nice looking. Titanic had more to it though than how well it appeared to the eye. It has a story to it and I don't mean just the romance part. I'm talking the entire thing. It's all a true story.

Titanic always gets me at the end and always will. No matter how many times you watch it you can never get over it because IT WILL NEVER CHANGE THE HISTORY behind the film. The film helps put a face to the unknown masses of people that died in that night. Titanic lost 68% (1,517) of her passengers and crew. Diving back down to the ship just sort of brings all of it to a head.

Maybe I am the only one here, but I prefer Avatar. I'm not a big fan of chick flicks, though Titanic is still a very good movie. And the fact it is "real" and not fictional doesn't matter. But Avatar was something really unusual, that I haven't seen before (I am not speaking about the basic story premise, of course, more about overall feelings and experience).

No way is Avatar better than Titanic. All that fictional stuff is only going to remain fiction. Titanic was based on a real life incident and played through the perspective of two individuals. Computer generation for Avatar was completely obvious. The computer generation for Titanic looked so real and natural that I almost had the feeling that they really shot it on an actual ship(which we all know they didn't. Too risky) Titanic pwns Avatar. Am I allowed to say I love the video (which I do) and I love the song (it's ledgendary) and I love Titanic (epic win) and also, I didn't actually like Avatar very much (possibly to do with the fact someone behind us kept laughing all the way through and it messed with my hearing aid, but that's a whole other story)
