If there really is a god, how could you (the lady in this video) claim to know what that god would necessarily want. Maybe the one she is talking about is a narrow minded bigot, and the rest of us just don't "get it." I do agree that all religions, including Christianity, are guilty for this (sadly) but I'm Christian today because I decided that it was right from a very early age. Even when my parents disagreed and I had no one to tell me it was right. I didn't grow up in church. Truthfully I have no idea what got me to read the Bible cos I can't remember but I grew up alone in it following God and God alone. All too often children are forced into a religion and it isn't right.

Actually when you read the bible God is the record holder for all murder, ever, in the history of mankind. To say god is against murder is not realistic, and it shows through the actions of the bible's followers. The fact that God kills scares people into a Pascal's Wager to get people to be on God's (or churches) side, even though it is near impossible to ever be on God's good side. This keeps the masses willfully addicted to the religious dogma (or remedy for the fake fear they induce.)
The Old Testament has murder in it but that doesn't necessarily mean it's right. It's actually laid out that it's not. I do agree that all religions, including Christianity, are guilty for this (sadly) but I'm Christian today because I decided that it was right from a very early age. Even when my parents disagreed and I had no one to tell me it was right. I didn't grow up in church. Truthfully I have no idea what got me to read the Bible cos I can't remember but I grew up alone in it following God and God alone. All too often children are forced into a religion and it isn't right.

If you saw a unicorn in a field somewhere the first thing you'd think is "some jerk has glued a horn to that poor horse", right? But if you went up to the unicorn and tested out that theory and realized the horn was naturally connected to it and you reeeaally didn't believe in unicorns (who does?) then tried all sorts of other tests and they all came back "unicorn" you still wouldn't believe. Actually when you read the bible God is the record holder for all murder, ever, in the history of mankind. To say god is against murder is not realistic, and it shows through the actions of the bible's followers. The fact that God kills scares people into a Pascal's Wager to get people to be on God's (or churches) side, even though it is near impossible to ever be on God's good side. This keeps the masses willfully addicted to the religious dogma (or remedy for the fake fear they induce.)

The Old Testament has murder in it but that doesn't necessarily mean it's right. It's actually laid out that it's not. It also has polygamy and adultery and all sorts of people being dumb but bad stuff always happens after people sin against God in the Old Testament cos God already laid out that it's not right and people disobeyed. God doesn't kill, people out of their humanness kill. Also I don't believe "humanness" is a word but if not I made it up just now...awesome.

The infiltration of activities kids enjoy;etc. is what made me stop going to church services 10yrs ago. I've been doing religious research & whether I believe in a god or not is totally personal. I can't stand to see any religion forced-fed to kids or anyone. There's no tolerance & many churches have that, "I'm saved, you're lost" mentality which is bogus. It amazes me, how the media can persuade people into assuming the wrong thing. I was at the conference, when the George Bush figure was brought out. Obviously since the actual president wasn't going to able to attend this conference, for kids, we needed a prop to get our attention. We were told to BLESS him and PRAY for him. Thank "God" for separation of church of state. Or maybe, thank sane minded people who see christianity as brainwashing a human's thinking potential. I still can't get over the Christian scientists telling everyone that people coexisted with dinosaurs. Hmmm, people need to first learn to think for themselves, then if they want to believe in Santa Claus, let them.

when kids r taught not to have faith and to believe in evolution and so on it is considered education but when kids are taught someting the rest of ppl dont agree with then theyre being "Brainwashed" What hypocrisy and closed-mindedness.

The difference in the two is that I do not say that God didn't CREATE the first ape-like people on this earth, whereas Christianity disavows anything that would even admit to any theory other than two perfect humans just POPPING onto the planet. Faith is good, as long as it is rationally based.
