Bill Maher reminds me a lot of Bill O'Reilly in this video. He just talks over the dissenting opinions to validate his own naive view of the world. Women are half the problem, there are fucked up people of both sexes.

It's much easier for a woman to hit a man because there is no taboo surrounding women hitting men unlike the one around men hitting women. If a man hits a women she will scream bloody murder and the man will go to jail for a good portion of his life. If a women hits a man and the man screams bloody murder he will be socially humiliated.

It's easy for some women to beat up their man becase the men fear the stigmata they'd get after hitting her back. When a man hits a woman it's a problem and the society doesn't approve it. When a woman hits a man, the man's a pussy... that's just how it happens.

Sorry, but um.. I just have to say it... I have never felt intimidated by a woman... Haven't really felt intimidated by many guys either, but certainly never felt intimidated by a woman. All of this tough GRRL stuff needs to fucking stop... Girls aren't tough, end of story. As for the guys who DO get abused by women in relationships, THEY ALLOW IT, it wouldn't even take two seconds for that guy to completely turn the tables and beat the SHIT out of his partner, he simply chooses not to.

first friday uses evolutionary theory in part one to say thats why men are more eager to hit on women- in the couped up office environment then throws it out the window saying that men get hit on as much as women. A quick skim of evolutionary theory would say this is FALSE and would not be the case for simple evolutionary (including the sociologocal implications) reasons.

Women are not weaker they are just different. I hate feminists (only the one who are anti-man though) but women can beat up a of equal strength of man if she really wants to and knows how to.

The problem is most women instead of doing physical abuse they do mental/emotional abuse and since there is no law against that yet so women get off free. Women just choose their battles tactics better so they don't go to jail, while we throw one punch and land up in prison =/

Hibiki, to say that women are not generally at a clear physical disadvantage is nonsense.

And yes, knowledge of self-defense/martial arts can suplement this, but lets be honest, it pretty much would have to be pretty frikkin substantial knowledge for it to make a difference.

I would also like to add that a blow given by a guy to a girl is much worse than a blow given by a girl to a guy. There is just MUCH more aggression behind the punch when the guy is being abusive.

I would agree with the physical nature of a punch by a guy being worse then a punch by a girl, but when a girl goes to hit a guy she is feeling just as much aggression as a guy would. Its just the result isn't the same because of her smaller stature, etc. But the emotions can be just as high or higher for a woman.

Bill Maher pretty much summed it up correctly. Men fear women in other ways: pregnancy scares, false sexual harassment/sexual assault lawsuits, car keying, divorce settlements (assuming no prenup is entered into), alimony and child support claims, custody battles, etc. It's all emotional. Men only fear women physically in the sense that they know they cannot hit back if women strike them first because it can land them behind bars.

You know i really like Bill Maher alot and agree with him on alot of his views and opinions on like religion,politics and soo on. But Bill is wrong here i was in a relationship with a girl that lasted 4 1/2 years. And she would punch me,smack me,push me ect for no reason whatsoever and many men like myself do experiences this stuff sometimes. But dont like to talk about it cause of fear for looking like a wimp. I felt that way too but i stoped that and i feel comfortable talking about it now.
