Not to be a complainer, but on several occasions mobs fell through the water.. -_-. It happened with a zombie mainly. They let themselves drop so yeah.... And spiders won't stay in... help?

please answer this:when the animal (pig) go's in he gets pulled under and appears in the loot room and if he does die the lood gets destroyed in the cactus what do i do

I think changes in mob behavior in 1.8 makes it so pigs now survive. A drown trap I used to use they slide under the glass, this one they fall through the bottom, etc. :(

@dancingferrit All mobs float, so they won't fall through... They will just get pulled and eventually get destroyed

You need signs so they can stop the water flowing to where the signs are.

I made the trap and it's pretty good it kill 10 to 15 mobs a night it's ok for the size but I do agree with I8dean8i I did try that and it works even better but other than that nice vid :D

@IvoMiniMylk No, you don't have to put the bed there. You can always make the canals on the side of the cactus trap longer if you want a higher chance of mobs falling in.

I made about 6 of these around my base and i get 20+ leather every night, 8-10 gun powder, and about 10 ham (plus whatever the other mobs drop, those are just the ones i have the highest demand for)

isnt there a problem while using cactus that the loot that hits the cactus is deleted? i have tried hundreds of variations of mob traps using cactus and if you watch it closely you will see lots of loot dissappearing as it touches the cactus :/
