The weapons were better in Halo 1, pistol aside. There was no redundancy, all of the weapons were very different from each other, and they were all very useable. There wasn't (pistol aside) any uber weapon. The Assult Rifle was effective in some circumstances, shotgun in another. There was a health bar, so you COULD wear opponents down, aelbit difficultly. And that same health bar meant that fights actually mattered. In Q3 and TF2, if you almost die in a fight, that's bad. Halo3? Ignorable.

It's arguable to say that this is the bets game of the system, but i still can't find a match to this game music wise, on any other system. Even the other beautiful nintendo musics or the MGS musics or the final fantasy muscics aren't better then the soundtrack of SSBB. But that's my point of view ....

I find Halo 3 unoriginal. It doesn't add anything to the genre. It's flawed, multi-player wise. It's overhyped. SSBB is a well designed, elegant game.

yeah i'm not saying it's bad. brawl was the best game ever, until mgs4. brawl is more fun and can keep you entertained for a long time, but mgs4 packs all th entertainment of brawl plus more into a much smaller amount of time, making it epic. they're both the best games of their systems

Smaller amount of time? SSBB's the DEFINITION of "Jump into it" gameplay. You get launched into the meat of the game immidiately. Good for parties, like that.

MGS4's good. But it's not as stylish as Brawl, and the replay value's limited. Watch who's playing what in 3 years.

The Halo series has a spectacular multiplayer. It's only criticised due to it's popularity. Stating that the original Halo's multiplayer is superior to 2's or 3's is absurd. The sequels had much more refined and polished multiplayer balance. For goodness sake, the first game wasn't even designed with multiplayer in mind!

Compare it to something like TF2, Quake 3, original UT, Tribes, etc. It's not bad at multiplayer. It's just not that amazing. Seriously, it doesn't even give you a health bar. If you survive one battle, you're back at full health a few seconds later. It's a fun way to kill a few hours, but it's seriously a lowest common denominator in multiplayer gaming.

Original has better weapon balance, less glitches, health/powerful control is more important, there's less redundancy in the weapons.

First off, I don't understand how a higher quantity in weapons is more redundant.?In the original Halo, your pistol got you by most of the time.

Secondly, the weapon balance was MUCH worse in the original Halo.

Regarding the whole health system, Halo really does something original. You can be rewarded for skillfully escaping a skirmish. In some multi-player games, once you're shot at, you might as well put down the controller.

The pistol was the bad point, unfortunately. The battle rifle has the same flaws.

The health system isn't anything new. Fire Warrior had a sheild bar and a 2 weapon system years before Halo did it.

The put down controller part is exactly my point. There's very little going on in most Halo 3 slayer maps. Comparing to Q3, or TF2, there's just not that much decision making going on.
