King Kong burned down due to a roofing incident. The fire traveled and eventually compromised the sprinkler system in the attraction's building. Jaws was not harmed in this fire.

they aren't rebuilding kong. they dismantled the florida version. the hollywood version was burned for insurance purposes. I couldn't help but notice the lack of park attendance for the new Simpsons ride (Back to the future's re-make),

and i couldn't help but notice the shameless promotion of it during NBC's coverage of the fires. It shows the simpsons arriving at Universal, and over their left shoulders Springfield blows up in the back ground. Their position is like the way the attraction is to where ther fires were.
