It's to bad that there is so much divide amongst the country, but cultural alterting things, this shall have its day. It probably won't be resolved within my lifetime but I truely hope that people realize this is not against marriage as it stands but what marriage can develop into. Really think about how we can come together; accept our differences and respect them. Isn't that why we are here? Isn't that why we love to walk down the street proud to be an American? Think about it.

i support separation of church and state. this is not and has never been a conservative christian nation. this is not a christian version of afghanistan. and we have freedom of religion: that includes not only atheists and agnostics but many religiously organized supporters, followers of sintoism (budhism), most Jews, unitarians and many churches already perform same-sex weddings.

All Men were created "Equal"... Endowed with certain inalienable "Rights" by their Creator. Gay Marriage "is" coming and is definite. So what,-so called "straight" people don't define my marriage. No one truly defines my marriage but my husband, God and myself. God isn't a religion-(God is Love). Marriage doesn't even really belong to the public-but those two whom share it. Gays have always gotten married "sometimes secretly"-but should ethically be recognized from a legal standpoint.
