Hey, I've recently installed an HD 5670 to the eMachines, and now it can almost max Crysis. It also performs a lot better than my 2005 custom built PC. I'll try to post a new comparison soon. AND I'm making a whole new build, and I'm making the case out of plexiglass and steel, I'll post a video of it when I'm done with it as well. Cheers! :)
well the emachines processor is underclocked... you should of bought one with at least an athlon ii x2 240 or a pentium e5200... then you would've of seen a difference!
@evilpenguin51 Yeah the 1.6 GHz is pretty slow in comparison with 2.0 GHz+ Athlon chips, but this eMachines was bought for the whole family, and it was on sale lol. But the real reason it's performance is so bad is because of it's integrade graphics. I could use a PC with a 2.9 GHz Pentium 4, but with a more powerful GPU, it would still probably beat the eMachines.
@evilpenguin51 Well this certain eMachines is basically meant for office and school use. It actually has very fast internet speeds, and it came with Windows 7 Home Premium already installed for free, which saved about $120, and other programs that you would usually have to buy seperate. And it came with 4 GB of RAM and a 750 GB HDD, so it was well worth the money in fact.
Well it shows exactly what one would expect. Although the Dell's specs seem crappier for gaming, the video card in it makes it better. The X600 is dedicated, so it doesn't have to use the system's RAM, increasing performance. Nice comparison though, good job. BTW, I lol'd at the tags.
@MaestroBLC lol Thanks, and yes the X600 is a good card, I haven't had any problems with it ever since I've had it, but the PC itself does tend to freeze here and there. This may not be the best quality comparison, but if I used Fraps, it would make the eMachine's frame rate like a slide show of a family reuninion haha.
@MaestroBLC Well the thing is, the eMachine and the Dell are kind of like the family PCs, so they get a little freaked out when I open the cases. But I do have six other PCs (Four are from the 1990's) another eMachines from 2004, and a Nobilis that looks like it's from the early 21st century. I got these six for free, and I'm looking for parts for the eMachines currently, but I'm also doing the math and realising that I could just build another PC from scratch for a little bit more money. lol
did you film this with a potato?

@Pishnouwdaglitcher I was considering it, but I realized that cucumbers work much better.

@MechWarrior324 Haha. Do you plan on upgrading your Dell's video card or memory or processor?
