I put my 87 GT on here and a guy thinks his cars will beat it........stock 93 Chevy Silverado or like a 90's model Mercury Grand Marquis , I really think the guy is retarded
@repinda561 Lol you got no idea dude. I didnt buy this car to let her sit and be pretty. Same thing with my buddies 88 Supra. We rep the 80s and beat on our shit wherever we go. :D :D He's been through a trans rebuild, motor rebuild and two turbos LMFAO
@xSupramanxx cool on my 88 supra ive been through 1 engine rebuild, 1 jdm engine, and 3 turbos ! lol boosting 15psi everyday (and always wonder why is the fuel econ soo bad (im 19 so no so much money lol))
@momodragon That's whats up. He just had his bottom end freshened up, new .020 over pistons and H beams. Compressions up and runs real good for only 8 pounds.
@88RIVERS Honestly its as easy as you think. I took an electric saw and notched the wholes out according to the radius of my SLP tips and then I sanded the cut down so it wouldn't scratch em.
Same here. Big fan of the X pipe. I was conveying back and forth of buying a Mac Prochamber or Bassani X with cats. From going on mustang forums, majority of people I talked to says the Mac Prochamber is the best mid pipe on the market. Being a fan of the X pipe, not sure of what to go with.
I'd get the Bassani X with cats, thats gonna be my next midpipe when I go with longtubes. Can't go wrong with that great raspy note and still pass inspection.
Did you buy the complete exhaust set up? I found the exhaust on american muscle but dont like the 3.5" tips from the side. What i am thinking about doing is buying the slp resonators and 2.5" aluminized tailpipes. I dont know if I would have clearence issues but I would be saving some dough. What made you roll with an X pipe then going with an H pipe?
Yeah I bought each part of the setup. I didn't see the SLP kits come with 3.5" tips for Foxbodies. But essentially the kit I bought is what your looking for; SLP resonators, 2.5" tubing and polished 2.5" tips. I went with an X pipe because I'm more of a fan of the higher RPM breathing and also the raspy exhaust note.
Its about time I found the sound I have been looking for! Sounds great man!! I have a 1988 LX and couldn't find to many videos with the SLP Loudmouth's 1's. Do you like it? Any clearence issues when installing? gotta be 10x louder in person... haha!!
I love the sound of these. No clearance issues whatsoever. Best part is its just exhaust clamps, no welding required. And yes it sounds like a monster in person. :D
Yuck...you need Flowmasters hoe

haha thats funny cuz ima switch my h pipe to an x pipe i heard they give a better flow n a lil louder
repinda561 1 year ago
@repinda561 Nah, after the data I found using just an H pipe as the different factor, a stock 302 made more power everywhere on the dyno graph.
xSupramanxx 1 year ago
dammm well this the first 5.0 i herd that slp accually sound good on
repinda561 1 year ago
@repinda561 Thanks man. I'm prolly gonna switch to an offroad H sometime soon, after finding some data.

Joey88stang 2 years ago
@Joey88stang x pipes have a unique sound to them and the exhaust stays balanced at higher rpm as to h pipes lose balance at higher rpm
