I love this tune and your recording :) Props to you for having great feeling and technical ability. I'd love to keep hearing more recordings from you!
Terribly sorry for being late to reply. Since my ability at English is rather poor, I had to use Google or online dictionary more than many times in several days.
As an early fan of rkjp56 postings-let me just say -how well done that was. This is what makes youtube great -the 21st century answer to the rent party. Stylistically, to me this arrangement seemed to have a flavor alot like Roger Kellaway. Hope this will be just the first of many posts.
It seems to me that your comment is such a great honor more than I deserve. This may be my first post which keeps ear-interest through beginning to end.
Nice! You have a very clean style.Great stuff comming out.I also love the fact that you play solo jazz and don't have your left hand in your pocket as so many contemporaries do.I am not sure how I encouraged you, but I am very thankful and so glad you sharred your talents.Lets keep playing and believe every day were closer to our goals.
In recent years I've been struggling very much to shape some styles in playing. Some years ago my friend asked me to play at a restaurant in Tokyo Omotesando, but I played there in such a mess I gave up solo play in some period of time(although I started practicing later).
When I saw you in the videos playing tunes in emotional and gentle style(and lecture in detail), I felt like there's still something in me that needed to be played and I recorded this.
Althuogh I have not been following his activities in recent years, Hank Jones is still one of my favorite pianist. About 20 years ago, I wrote down his solo piano(As time goes by) to score and examined over and over again(usage of harmonies, left hand tenth, etc).
Consciously or not, his gentle tone must has influenced on my playing.
@A24510 .... your easy rkjp style has taken away my extreme irritation at this new obtuse youtube layout ...... cannot find the 'post comment ' facility ! ! so have tagged onto yours ! !..... a worthy disciple of his , as am trying to be myself , but no good on the runs......you maintain the 'beat ' very well and , great to hear ! !

Nice style. You have been listening to Hank Jones at some point in your life. That's a good place to be.
