  • Marmons were sold in Canada in the mid 80's. A Ford dealer in Winnepeg Manitoba set up a dealership to sell them but never did sell many. I have an old Trucking magazine with the ad in it when they started. I would love to have a 57P sitting in my shop because I know I would have the only one around.

  • Where are you from?? Awesome engine sound to!!! We have a awesome Marmon triaxle logger runnin round here in PA.

  • I'm from Ephrata area if you know where that is (lancaster county)

  • @marmonboy I know where Lancaster is, was there last summer. Figured you were lcoated in PA with all the steel wagons. Im in the middle between Erie and PIttsbrugh.

  • oh ok, yea the company basically hauls anything in those trailers to anywhere. My dad runs california mostly

  • The best truck ever built. Built by hand, one at a time, with pride in America. R.I.P. Marmon.

  • you got that right

  • as far as im aware Peter Max the importer & the man that i drove for imported about 25 into the country before marmon went under. i understand he had orders for a lot more but could not be delivered. bit of a shame as they were starting to become popular on road train routes here. as for the story of marmon going under thats another story...

  • i have driven 2 types of marmons in australia. the strait out bonnet type & the ant eater style bonnet type. both great to drive & real head turners over here.

  • cool!! I have always wondered about that, would you happen to know approximately how many marmons made it to Austrailia before marmon closed its doors in 97'?

  • They werent made available here in Ontario Canada that I know.

  • I have a 85 Marmon cab hood fuel tank and battery box in great shape for sale.

  • is it true these trucks are or were hand built,

  • thanks! ill try to get a video of the outside. as far as a engine, it has one of the first 60 series detroits. the reason why i am only driving it in the parking lot is because im not old enough to drive it on the road yet. As far as looks go, im trying to get it back into shape (it was never taken care of since new)
