  • okay loving the set up, ive decided to use the pressure plate track switch thing, but with the launcher my carts keep getting stuck?

  • @SeaCucumber39 yeah, its a bit dodgy, the set-up has to be EXACTLY the same or it doesn't work. i think the cart gets an extra boost when it starts from a stand still and there is a block behind it, it also gets a bit of an extra boost from the rail that goes up (i know its weird) it also loses the extra boost if the track is any longer. if you remove any one of these things it doesn't work.

  • @SeaCucumber39 iv also not tested on SMP so may not work at all there. one thing that may help but not tried is using soul sand under the track and plate may give it a bit of extra 'fall time' before it gets stuck.

let me know how you get on, ill be glad to help if i can. just wish Notch would add stone/wood detector rails lol.

  • nice idead to storage carts, i go use ure idea to my world... but i still prefer my start system.

  • @matrixsueko looked at your launcher, really cool, I hate mine the way it forces you to drop down a level, not very smooth at all. I didn't think pistons could push/pull track didn't even try it lol. id use your launcher if I have enough space for it under the platform but at the moment its a bit tight. ill see what i can come i with :)

  • @delvarif I guess I used the detection system with momentum in my station because I hoped that Notch would once fix ALL the minecart bugs which cause it not to work in SMP

  • @delvarif I used a detection system that works with momentum. It works perfect in SSP but not in SMP. This is the only thing that keeps me from making my station on a SMP server;) I also want to let you know that I think your station is more practical in building and using but I tried to give it as many features as possible to make it look more like a real station. I hope though that I can once make a system with switches:)

  • I really like you're video in a way that it shows a lot of people what you can do with pistons/redstone;) I worked now for a couple of months on this minecart station and I made it fully with 1.7.3. You can watch the video on the BemacizedGaming channel or search for Extended Minecart Station or even Minecraft Short;)

  • @roemba3 hay watched the video, that station looks really complicated! the idea of my station is to be simple to build and modular in that we could have 20-30 stations without having to rewire destination selectors and having huge button banks at each station. my one is more based on London underground that conventional overground trains where each line has a fixed destination passing though set stations and you have to change lines to go other places. yours is really cool though .....

  • @roemba3 ... how did you do the passenger detection on the arrivals platform? im using a stone pressure plate but I think it will be buggy in SMP, wonder if there is something better?
