  • BILL,I'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN,I STILL LOVE YOU AFTER 55 YEARS WITHOUT YOU ,I LOVE YOU ,,,,JUDY

  • diff. vers. from the ENCORE OF GOLDEN HITS album!

  • The guys voice in the beginning reminds me of family guy.

  • at that time there was much discrimination against black, yet these fine black artists behave in a self respecting manner! Ironically Now so many black artists(talking about rappers) behave in a way that just embarrasses themselves.

  • This is from an era when music meant great music.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • love the platters

  • Remember when songs had memorable melodies and you could actually hear the lyrics? Remember when the musical arrangements sounded good and left you with a good feeling? Remember when the concerts were always great, and you didn't have to go to an ear specialist the next day? Remember when music was really, really musical? I'm glad I'm old enough to remember when the Platters could be heard on my transistor radio, under my pillow, late at night, when everyone else was sound asleep.

  • Rock and Roll ? LoL

  • Maravilhosos!!!!

  • my all time favorite singing group since the '50' !!!!!

  • rock and roll?!

  • @taratova Well nothing wrong with 80s & 90s rap... only this bad rap from now realy is just BAD.

  • At least you had two and a half years with the girl you loved, I didn't share so much as a walk on the boardwalk with the one I loved. I didn't know him, oh I knew him and he me but I didn't know him because on April 30, 1963 somehow he and his memory got tossed and stored in a wrong portion of my brain where he could not be remembered until June of 2010 (24 years after his passing) when an article connected the dots and I became aware of him consciously for the first time. Tragic indeed.

  • They were lip-syncing, probably for audio clarity. I think I have most of their original recordings.

Zola Taylor was beautiful, and the best female R&R singer there was in that era.

She passed away in 2007 at age 69 from a stroke.

This brings back so many memories.

  • Remember our dance, ya know I looked for you found you, but you were dancing with someone else, sad isn't it that that is how it would be the rest of our time. We never quite got together and you have forgotten me. But I have music this good to keep you safe and warm and loved!

  • @EHDROCK WOW! You just spoke what I was feeling!

  • @EHDROCK I Agree i let go of my first and ever true love 43yrs ago i as married for 24yrs in the last 43yrs but have to say not one day goes past without me thinking of my first true & only love, but just like you i play these and many others just to remind me of the 2 and half yrs i had with the girl i still love!!!

  • GENIALLLL !!!HERMOSO RECORDARLOS !!

  • @taratova I'm not sure great music evolved into rap and people evolved into idiots.Thank god for youtube

  • Christmas 1960,Mexico City, bellos recuerdos.

tiempos hermosos que nunca jamas volveran.

    Tacuba & Atzcapotzalco.

  • Seriously I wanna salute those who get these videos uploaded, how can you guys manage to find videos like this ?? CLASSIC !!!

  • @teddyxiao You just have to be searching all the time. I got quite a few using limeware and also from bit torrents.

  • @John1948Ten Oh is it ?? Thanks for uploading it anyway. BTW do you have beatles ? I mean, better quality than others uploaded in youtube

  • @teddyxiao I do have some Beatles. Check channel John1948OneC2

  • @John1948Ten Thanks =)

  • @teddyxiao The Platters were my favorite group in the 50s. I remember seeing them in Lincoln Park for free and at the Old Paramount Theatre on 6th and Hill in L.A. They sang between movies and I stayed for 3 shows.

I believe that Margie who was Disc Jockey Hunter Handcocks secretary was married to lead singer Tony Williams.

Also, Zola Taylor sang with Shirley Gunter and the Queens.

  • The Platters ..!!! I knew these songs for my father was the music of the day Sunday morning I remember I was small, strange those days thanks for the video is great

  • Ohhh.....the sweet memories that come flooding back when listening to this beautiful song.

  • Ohhh.....the sweet memories this brings back.

  • muy buena

  • These are the original Platters. Tony Williams' voice was at its peak. He was an incredible singer. This group and a few others help to bring down the color barriers in American music. They went around the world and set an example for every musical act to follow. None of the groups that came after them would have had the kind of success they accheived without Tony Williams and the Platters setting the standard for excellence and class in African-American music.

  • thank you for uploading and sharing your collection. Music like this needs to be shared and appreciated.

  • These aren't the Platters I remember. Perhaps it's because I hadn't heard this song up until now. Anyway I can see why I didn't hear it, it dosen't stack up to the likes of Twightlight Time, Only You, The Great Pretender & Smoke Gets In Your Eyes which were all top 10 hits here in Vancouver Cda. Thx4postin

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ I think it's every bit as good. But opinions vary.

  • @Ezdduf4kuZ They are the Platters, and its awesome... One of there best songs!!

  • I just can not stop washing these peace of s... singers!!! Oh my God how much a miss those guys on the stage. Those voices are in my ears!! The platters for the rest of my life!!!!!!!

  • Still the greatest Harmony of any group that has ever sang

  • Like John1948 the Platters were a little before my time. But I still heard them from those who were teens while was still a kid. Then when my now husband and I had our first date in 1968 we saw the Platters perform at a high school auditorium in Birmingham, AL. It was unbellievable. Remember When was the all-important "our song" and still is today.

  • As usual another great from the greatest groups of the 50's and 60's thanks again to all that loved them as I do

  • Normurr

Fantastic - I`m 72 and this and most of the Platters songs were in my time. I met and danced with my wife to The Platters.

    Fantastic memories, fantastic group.

  • @Normurr Hiya Norm. You're 10 years older than me and I often wished I could have been your age to be more a part of the birth of rock and roll. Of course I saw it as a grade school kid but I think you had to be a teenager to really live it. Rock on!!!

  • @Normurr I'm not so old, I was 16 when they had concert in Zagreb (in late 70s). Even they were old then, this was the best concert I've ever been. I remember when I was about 14, I quarreled with my father a lot saying that it's shitty music Iin that time I was listening Donny Osmond, T-Rex, Suzi Quatro... :D.). Thanks God, my stupidity haven't lasted too long, I realized very soon how magic this music is. I still have Double LP with their hits.

  • Enchanting Grace!

  • beautiful!!!

  • it was to ביחד

  • Brings back so many memories......always liked this song!!!

  • Buck Ram

    What a voice

    Say's it all !!!!

  • great!!!!
