@donnyab....youre right i dont own the company but I dont sweep the floors....The company just bought 2 Trumpf TRUBEND 3066 CNC Press Brakes that I set up...I make fireplaces, bbq grills and heaters...@Htown.. never was braggin on how fast the vipros runs I just simply stated the productivity has been ok but the company is looking to get rid of it soon and invest in another Trumpf..also never stated the laser the company has is Trumpf....EmpireComfortSystems
@apoettker82 vipros are slow. They are no faster than a coma. The pega king is nearly as fast as a emk. The pega king was so fast I actually started a fire nibbling 11 ga ss I sprayed some wd40 the part got so hot we had a small blaze
We had a coma 588 with a 6 " station. It would only take 3 hits per circle. We made some 4.5" circles with 36 .128 holes in them. We used a cluster tool and a 4.5 rd only 2 hits each. End result was 800 hits vs about 35,000 for your machine. Ours hit at 300 per minute took about 5 minute to run the job yours would take all day
I set up a amada Vipros 255 and amada 100M robotic press brakes at work def fun machines to work with and we also have 2 trumpf 2020, 1 laser, a motorum2000,motorum2034, and 3 centrums..even our old machine is faster than this piece of scrap metal..your machine is not efficient at all..you lose money everytime u run it if ur tryin for productivity
I use Trumpf single head machines at V&F. They are much faster but more expensive. If you don't want to laser cut parts then the key to CNC punching cirles is to use banana tooling with an autoindexing head. The Trumpf has a head which turns through 360 deg so all tools are free within the CNC nest. A circle like this would be punched in in 2 to 3 seconds. I agree that the first machine should be simple and move up which is what we did and we have been going for over 25 years.
wouldn't it be faster to make it nibble? I think its G68 I is the radius P is the punch offset, J is the start angle, K is the moving angle, Q is the pitch C is the angle for the auto index if you are using that. I am guessing your using something like G66? It would be like G68 I4.0 J0.0 K360.0 P0.0 Q0.100 M691. Also if you enter in M12 right on the line after G90 it will make the ram move at its top speed.
@aussiescotty An Amada Vipros 368 King II would be the best choice. Its cheaper than the laser and if it does break down its easy to fix. And its a thick turret if you use the right die clearence and those tools with the coating they stay sharp a long time. We used a 3x0.25 rectangle with the rooftop shape punch on 12 ga. stainless steel they would stay sharp almost a month.
@TEMrX Often a laser is unable to be used since it alters the structural integrity of the material through heating. We use punch presses for building aircraft parts for this reason.
Euromac is a very good machine for a small company for short run production (and all machines in the same class : Boschert etc).
I've seen many small companies investing as the first machine in a Trumpf, Amada etc and regretting after that. So the golden rule is: first CNC punching machine: Euromac, Boschert etc. the second /third machine: Amada, Trumpf, Finn Power etc.
It´s a beautifull machine. Not enough for my needs, but it works and that´s all that matters. Once your company grows you should try a trumpf, that´s what happened to me, but we took a giant step and we went after the TC200 model, and old one too, but enough for us in the meantime. Good luck with your company!!!
thanks for your commment we do very litle mass production and the euromac suits us very well i don;t think we will be growing we have been a small company for over 27 years !!!!!
27 years, itá a tradition!!!, my father started my company too, like 30 years ago, he passed away a few months ago and we kept going with the company, you know, the legacy. Hope you watch my videos too, there´s the punching mechine, a bending machine, and some other stuff. Hope you like it.
By the way!!, the comment was funny... "350 circles to go..." How many times we feel that way....!!! don´t we?!!
kinda same boat my dad is going to retier in about 2 years and will be taking over from him we only have 3 men working here one my dad 2 me and one other guy i will be looking at your movies shortly

That makes sense. For some reason I was thinking it was aluminum. My mistake.

How is it you picked up that part with a magnet?
arnold02000 1 year ago
@arnold02000
Becasue the metal being punched is magnetic it has iron in it

M-16 would have done that faster

Nice, I operate a Amada Octo at work, 1983 vintage, 9 tool station 750x1000 travel. CNC Turret is so mesmerising to watch!

Wow, a laser would be a much better choice for those parts. It would rip through 0.55mm zinc aluminium in no time flat!

Your right .....but iam not made of money. This cnc suits our company well and dose a great job for us!!!!!
