  • @salchicha

    thats a little stupid

  • I like fencing but who gives a shit... shes cute :P thats the only reason I've watched the whole series

  • critizising is so easy. having the guts to put up videos with advice is so much more work! do it better ;-). in the end, with al wapons I fought with, advice from all sides is great, looking at it is great, and picking what you adapt and what works for you is YOUR choice. you dont have to talk bad about advice that doesnt work for YOU. it might work for someone else ;-)

  • @robynofrye If you do such things in a Fie A class match you are going to be burned.

  • Put the sword down slowly, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You commited the crime of misinforming the crowd.

  • @kkosmask Well, if you could point to a person putting up information on epee, I'd gladly accept your critique, however... she's the only one who I can find who puts up ANYTHING on information... even if its poor information.

  • @Marcownz747 The thing is that this cant be called poor information but misinformation. It's worse than nothing.

  • For those slamming this video, did you ever think that she's just trying to be down to earth instead of being arrogant, in other words a real fencer.

  • The pointy end? So unprofessional.......

  • i think she is just reading from a book and looking at the figures. no one fences like this

  • she is right about the front leg though.

  • I just started learning fencing, and I've never used an epee before.. but even I was like, "the weapon looks kinda... upside down."

  • Her en guard is terrible; shes holding a lefty handed blade in her right hand; her lunge is aweful; and I doubt shes even heard of the term of establishing line. Simply, if you learn from her, you're going to be bad at fencing.

  • Erm...isn't she holding her weapon upside-down?

  • Her epee is designed for a lefty.. that;s why it always seems to be upside down :))

  • has she ever had an epee lesson?

  • her stance is terrible, her hold is wrong, and why anybody still considers "left arm up" as a good thing is beyond me. However, if she is scoring more touches than her opponents, then she is completely right!

  • I love her terrible guard, and how she never wears a glove, or a mask, or socks. I also like how it says she's an expert in the description, yet she looks like she's only been fencing for a month. But my favorite thing about her videos is the fact that when i search "epee fencing" in order to watch some real experts, youtube is flooded with her shit. awesome.

  • I am not a mean guy really, but this is... just wrong. She should not be teaching. Her guard is totally wrong. In fact, I think it is not even a guard at all. Not even one piece or movement is right. BTW, the left arm is not "preferred up"...

  • Omg, she's not even holding the épée right xD "upside down" lol

  • You're right, but don't tell her it's just funny to look at xD

  • @Reglay it MAY be a french 6-position from the start, but that could be accidental

  • This is awful. There are some very good epee videos on youtube, for god's sake don't watch this. She looks like she once read a book about fencing. And messing about with no mask on like that when you're as clueless as she is really is dangerous.

  • does anyone know if she does a video for fleche?

    cos mines kinda shit

  • @katekong6 Don't try to learn from her. She really does not display any good at all. You're better off, asking your teacher, or look it up in a book about fencing (ah, good old library)

  • @katekong6 if she does, don't watch it, i'm sure her's is too

  • she talks like she's lecturing a bunch of elementary school students.

  • No, she's talking to beginners. If it were for elementary there would be crayons and macaroni involved. Don't be so elitist :P

  • Epee should be more horizontal than that, that stance exposes the sword arm to attack.

  • well, yes, that's true. I'm an epeeist and when i hold my epee like that my teacher says: are you holding a sabre or what? I guess that french grip is hardest to handle when you're used to the pistol grip...

  • Yeah, I'm moving to pistol from french now and I know what you mean.

  • Okeeey...

  • When fencing against female fencers, I usually try to score touches in their vaginal region. The arousal they feel breaks their concentration, and makes them easier to defeat.

  • lol

  • haha, i should try that next time. chest plates suck cuz the point just bounces right off.

  • HHAA

  • lmfao

  • I like how everyone is a fencing master but no one has the balls to make their own video of them doing it better, I wonder why?

  • amen

  • where should i start with this. is just so much wrong with this. everyone that is just learning to fencing please do not learn from her. go to a real club and learn from real coaches

  • Actually I am just learning fencing. I do belong to a club. I have just moved up from beginner to intermediate and this ladies tips have been invaluable to me as a BEGINNER. She is not teaching advanced. The finer points of fencing are absolutely lost to us beginners, there is just too much going on for us to perfect form at the level she is instructing. Realistically a wooden dowel at this level would suffice as a weapon.

  • The terrible thing about this video is that it fails to even give the basic things. She doesnt have an idea of how to hold the weapon. You can notice because if you follow her instructions your blade will break in about two weeks. Any coach will teach you that your thumb as the channel of the weapon have to face upwards, otherwise the blade will bend in a wrong direction. I dont understand the point on doing this kind of videos which can harm (economical or physically) the beginner fencers

  • With all due respect, I don't hold my epee upside down when I'm in engarde. Nor do I hold my arm that high or that straight. It's way too easy to get hit on the arm like that.

  • zomg! this is painful for epeists everywhere!!!

  • everyone stop! she is a really good fencing teacher stop making tiny corrections! o and everyone who has critisized her, lets see your fencing videos!

  • A couple tips:

Lower you engarde. Your weight is kind heavy on the back foot. Also, when you extent raise the hand and angulate in.

Not trying to be mean but if you are going to teach you may want to consider some of the stuff I said

  • Epeeists don't stand up. I don't know where you saw that. There are standing counter attacks to get a better reach but the engarde stays low regardless.

Also, a smart epeeist will never stay in Line (points in line but I am refering the name of a stance at 1:15. Its called line) If you left your arm out it is too easy to take the blade and go in for the touch. Line is a foil and Saber thing

  • your embarssing your self your barely bending your kneesand u lift your left arm up it needs to be more line with your right hand so u keep a nice straight arm for a lunge

  • poorly preformed, she even holds her epee wrong

    long live european fencing

  • Ohhhh yeah it's just horrible. By the way where are your fencing videos?

  • I could ask you the same thing.
