  • Does anyone know why Codemasters have banned the distribution of their old 8-bit titles? Since their games are no longer available to buy, what possible loss would they otherwise incur?

  • This was my childhood....the music and sounds bring it all back to me. Call of Duty has nothing on this.

  • one of the best plat-formers i played but didn't get its notoriety at the time

  • @3styler1 I couldn't stop playing this one at the time. Some tricky bits but it was so addictive.

  • @SPINNYFUCK ye me neither used to spend all weekend on this and loads other classic speccy games

  • Stupid Super Robin Hood!!!!! I hate you!!!!. You are so annoying!!!! But actually, this game is not that bad... not that bad.

  • robin hood saw a nude riding through the glen , friar tuck ran like fuck to get the merry men.

  • Is this downloadable from the net? Cant find it anywhere

  • Yes it is. You need to do a bit more searching, lol!

  • @SPINNYFUCK It's Codemasters (the tightest bunch of folk out there); can't believe all their Speccy titles on WOS are 'denied' :(

  • @22greg48 Not legally, Codemasters denied distribution of most of their old games from the 8 bit days.

  • god i love this game. also the adventures of dizzy

  • Definitely the best games from Codemasters!

  • Budget games were a bit of a gamble (mind you, so were full price ones!!), but this was definitely one of Codemaster's good ones. Nice one.

  • Just loved this game. So playable and nice graphics. Tough, but not too tough.

  • BTW Spinny, cheers for putting all these speccy games on here, brouht back some great memories :)

  • Spent many an hour on this as well. Classic game! Thanks for the comment.

  • We bought the spectrum 128k +2 on release, and I remember having a massive box of games. I cant remember where or when I got this game but it was always a favorite. I think it was bought as part of that 4 in 1 deal, Dizzy being the only other good game on it. Action reflex was also a favorite

  • This is my favorite spectrum game. Great to see it again. Is there anywhere it can be downloaded?

  • Can I ask how you know this game as you must have been 3 years old when it came out. The game is distribution denied so it won't be easy to find.

  • This was also my fave speccy game, tried to find it myself but as you say it was denied distribution,BUT,I have downloaded and played the Commodore version with an emulator,I'm sorry I can't remember where I got it from, but it is out there,I promise you

  • brilliant! - things I had forgotten about this game...

    1)Robins long hair

    2) The stupid jump in the air he did if you kept pressing the up key up a ladder.

    3) The sound it makes when you fall...

One thing your video doesnt show is the absolute frstration when you have 5% health left and some stupid spider walks into you...

    Classic, thankyou

(Now if you had a copy of Popeye from the speccy I would be impressed...)

  • I'm sure I've got Popeye somewhere, though it's not a game I have really played.I remember playing it years ago briefly without instructions so didn't get far. I will put that up next week. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Super! Smashing!! Great!!!

  • I take it it's a favourite one with you then! A return to normality for the codies after all the sims. It could have done without the Super part of the title though.
