    LOL!!

    Liked.

  • @bucketfan4life I did scare Chuck Norris when hiding in his closet the other night. But then I saw him doing push ups, only he stayed still and the earth went down, so I gave his power back :)

    JAW

  • That's awesome! You're awesome! Totally made my day!

  • incredibly hard to play sick man

  • Yes; yes it is incredibly hard to play. I sure set myself up with this one - I still struggle with it, don't think I've ever played it clean from top to bottom ;)

    Thanks!

    JAW

  • My girlfriend is scared of this music... now I can be able to play it for her all the time XD Thank you so much for keeping the greatest game alive :)

  • Ha, that's funny! ;) good luck with it, and enjoy!

    JAW

  • Top work chap!!! 5 stars.

Now do the Amstrad CPC version music which rocked too! ;-)

  • the tabs are easy to remember but damn hard to play in this tempo. but i'll practice =)

  • Oh yeah, it sure rocks at this sort of speed, if you can keep up! It's got a strange left hand to it which doesn't make it much easier either...good luck and good skill!

    JAW

  • amazing,

thanks for sharing the ptb :D

  • im gettin that guitar. i was originally getting the m225 but ive decided 2 save up for a bit longer and get the one i really want

  • Very nicely done, sir

  • oh sorry... 3 oscilators and 1 noise-generator ;)

  • i dont know much about guitars and stuff.. but isnt this song made for at least 2 guitars playing toghether ?? ;)

  • very unusual, and that makes it GOOD! also it sounds ace!

  • trying to do this myself. But you're right, the fingering is very weird in this piece. good job arranging it like this

  • To this day I still fumble with this song. It is completely different to anything else I play ;) Definately post a video response when you get it - I'd love to see it!

  • okey I will I think I got it down at 75 BMP xD

  • That is amazing.. do you work this stuff out on your own? :D

  • lol!! ghosts and goblins rocked on the c64!! great tune and great playing dude!

  • the commodore's music is much scarier than the arcade version.

  • wow that was great please keep up the work

  • Is this ever coming back?!?! i loved this tune!! Please bring back.

  • fantastic!!!

  • This is a great vid man! Love your work.

  • Guy has skills.

  • Dang, that was sick!

    Well done!

  • i wanna learn thissss!

    so tighttt!

  • you are very good. 5*

  • I loved this on C64!!! Thats an amazing version of it on guitar!! Incredible!!

  • Very nice!! I love it! and when you do the bass and treblepart simultaniously at 1.22 my jaw dropped! i play guitar myself and i know thats difficult! :D

  • fantastic

    5/5

  • Thats not ghost n goblins

  • Commodore 64/Amiga version, not arcade.

  • the amiga version has the music from the arcade

  • Okay, cool, someone told me once that the Amiga version was the same tune. Error corrected ;)

  • thats aight. :) the commodore soundtrack is scary..

  • Oh man, that was great. Classic c64 tune and a brilliant arrangement.

  • Nice, but you should do the same for Ghouls N'ghost on amiga, intro music and Lvl2 are sooo great.

  • really good work !

  • wow!!!! great!!!!

  • still loving this, still havent found time to learn it yet though

  • Have you got the sheet music, or the tab, or something something for this? wouldn't mind learning it myself :o

  • why you don't read description?

  • Yea, I saw it, about 20 mins after posting it, lol.. Reading descriptions ain't my main priority when loading up a vid, lol.. And, I have already learnt it anyway.. fun to play. ^.^

    Thanks for Tab Jaw.

  • I can Imagine my fingers bleeding just thinking about trying that. I can definitely say that tune sounded familiar even though I'm not old enough to have seen that games release date. The composers of that song must have been listening to surf music at the time because it has that style garbled in there.

Awesome, I liked it a lot.

  • Lol, loser.

  • thats not easy what he did

  • fantastic arrangement, it's works really well on guitar, I just love the bass line!!!!

  • Back again eh Euph? ;) Yep, I still play this often. It has a tricky left hand which feels great when you get it right.

I've got a couple more songs for you, will record when I get some time...maybe you'll be the first commenter again? ;)

  • Amazing! <3

  • Amazing..

  • That was brilliant, You've got the style down pretty damn well, nice one! I'll have to try my best to learn this

  • Get into it! This is my most obscure piece I've ever arranged, not many people know it but the people who do love it. You'll be suprised how difficult the left hand is...but go for it! JAW

  • Great work! C64 4ever!

  • very good!!

  • SWEET.. great job.. Made me LOL out loud :P

  • i love this. im currently working on the music from outrun. this is great though. hate those flying red devil things - they were a real pain to defeat.

  • When you talk outrun, I hope you are talking magical music shower? I've thought about doing that one myself! I await in anticipation! ;)

  • yeah, thats the one - although it called magical sound shower. ill post it when its complete

  • Genius! More C64 covers, please!!!!!!!

  • Nice job although I never heard of this game.

  • excellent play, man!! that game spoiled my childhood.

  • the best version I ever hear

  • WOW!!! Incredible stuff!!! Fabulous playing of a classic tune.

  • One of my favourite games on the C64.. Excellent arrangement.. Great work and good luck with future arrangements !

  • That was such an awesome game.

  • Nice guitar playing, i listen to your playing and remember the old 64 days.

Thankyou for such a fine remembrance of what was.

    Craig

  • excellent play

  • dude sure got ability... nice work

  • Fantastic work, this brings back many good memories of the days when you had to work an entire morning just to finish a game, no savestates for you! :)

Thanks for bringing back those good memories

  • Damn, this is so awesome.

  • Wow! excellent! I haven't played that game since such a longe time.. but i remebmer it and now i'm crying.. ohh, the nostalgy..

do you play more commodore's music?? maybe the Giana Sisters' tune? hehe

  • Yep, it sure is a nostalgia trip. Anyone who was into the 80s commodore compuer scene will still remember that one. I have one other C64 tune I have worked out 10 years ago, might have to dust it off again eh?

Glad you enjoyed it, I did :)

  • can you plan other c64 classics songs like forbiden forrest or commando? it will sur be soooo nice

  • Sweet. Almost made me want to crack out the C64 emulator. Almost. Good work though jaw. :)

  • So you improved as you went along, as I'm sure you'll continue to do if you keep at it. :) One thing I do when rehearsing pieces that are technically difficult, is slow it down to a tempo where I'm comfortable. And then increase the tempo in steps, as I get more comfortable. Using a metronome not a bad idea either. Anyways, keep up the good work! I enjoyed that. :)

  • A Commodore 64 CLASSIC! Excellent arrangement, man! And I'm SURE you'll get closer to perfecting it as you practise more on it, actually you got better as the song progressed. The the beat on the bass-riff for the first half of the song was maybe a little shaky. But the second time around (ca. 2:00) you were more confident, the beat was more steady.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHH :D I loved this game, even though when i started playing it i was only like 6 or 7, it was such a good game :) but as you can guess, for that age, it was impossible, and i bet it still is impossible! lol But great rendition i have to say ^^

  • Wow, this is awesome.

  • thanks for mp3. maybe someday i'll be able to play on a similar level.

  • could you record an mp3 from this? this is very good, i think i watched this vid more times than any other on youtube. keep up good work

  • Whoa, praise overload!

I was reluctant to put the mp3 up because there are too many mistakes. When people are watching a video they don't hear as many mistakes as when they are only listening.

But since you were so kind, I've popped the mp3 into the same directory as the tabs (click on more up there ^)

  • even if i dont know the original tune, i must say i liked the video a lot! its good to know that good people are still out there, working 2 years on a project and then shring that knowledge with everyone (im talking about the tab). keep up the good work, cant wait for your next video!

  • I change my comment: AWESOME. Really well done-it takes alot of talent to be able to keep the bass going like that and play the melody on guitar....

  • Thanks! Not so much talent as sheer persistence. I've had that tune kicking around in the background for two years now. I figure it will be at least another 2 before I can play it cleanly.

  • nice, well done. Going to tab it?

  • tab link up the top there, click on "more".

  • great job. one of the best,if not the best, video.

  • Another great job Jaw,sounds good

  • Hah, great fun! I'll have to see if I've got that one in my MAME roms :-)

  • Hahahaha! dude thats awesome!

  • Thanks Euph!

If anyone has heard this tune (or, say, is intimately familiar with it) let me know!

  • love it!
