Seeing David Bowie as the alien scared the absolute SHITE out of me, i just looked into his yellow snake eyes and thought, "Im getting nightmares tonight..." :/
i wud soo hate to be d onli immortal i mean in sum ways it wud b kool bt in a lot of ways it'd b sooooo badd!! death wud feel like a gift..depressin i know..watchin clips from all these films like man from earth and this is makin me think haha
So, sad that his family die's and he is left alone our planet with remorse:( He's children are really cute, and his wife is beautiful, he had a perfect family and now it's all gone, man why did the ending have to be like that!
This is an amazing film and I am so proud that my good friend Roy Stevens was the Production Manager on this film. Unfortnately Roy died yesterday of a heart attack, but at least he had the chance to work with David Bowie.
this film broke my heart humanity showed their worst nature to an alien visitor who was only trying to save his people, yet he did not hate them or have any bitterness toward them but whiddled away in apathy i cried at the end of this film.
Just sometimes XD Hi I'm Louis legendarie Lestat. You know, there's a lot of things that makes chains in my mind and your name caught my atention because I'm reading the Ann Rice's novel "The vampire lestat", and I'm a great fan of David Bowie. I think your name is because of the novel and not because of the movie "The Queen Of The Damned" or "Interview With The Vampire"(Tom Cruise is a GREAT actor) I'd like to make contact with you. Nice song!
Yes, the name is a reference to The Vampire Letat. I love Interview with the vampire but I have no kind words for Queen of the damned. My alternate youtube account is TheBratKingJareth. A sort of merger of Jareth (David Bowie's character in Labyrinth) and Lestat's nickname of The Brat Prince. This particular youtube account you've reached me on is mostly for posting Paul Murphy's songs.
That is to say, I have no kind words for The queen of the damned movie. The book on the other hand is spectacular. Too bad the only thing the film took was the title.
This song is so ... i don't know ... painfull? Or, perhaps painfully beautifull. It fits well to the sad story of a lonely alien. I really like this song, is it from the film? I didn't see it on the film's soundtrack ...
Oh, I already asked him a long time ago and he lets me give the Mp3s away. Just give me a private message with your E-mail address and I'll send you his stuff. His E-mail address is makeamove(at)earthlink(dot)net.
Yes he was punched in the eye with a ring, oww, He was out of school for ages and they performed surgeory to try and save his vision. they did, but it always has a brown tindge to it and his pupil is constantly diallated as it is paralized making the eye seem a different colour.
and then recently there was that concert that somebody threw a lollipop at him and it lodged in his eye socket. that man has got to keep things out of his eye!
The blue eyes are like that by nature. His left pupil is damaged. The cat eyes, yes, are very nice. Of course for the character the human eyes are contacts and the cat eyes are real. :-P
ninguém entendeu este filme em seu lançamento,
era um aviso!

Well that brings back some memories, I saw this in the movie theater in the 1970's
Not a good move to drop acid before seeing.

It is awfully sad. And Newton doesn't age or anything, right? So is he just stuck on earth for, like, literally forever?

This song isn't from the film. It's from a play version of the story. The composer is Paul Murphy.
LegendaireLestat 3 years ago
And yes, I have his consent to have this song as well as others by him up on youtube.
LegendaireLestat 3 years ago
Ohh, I like this song so much. Can I also have his permission to have this song? How can I contact him? How did you?

those are his real eyes. He got punched in the eye as a child and never recovered.
ponytashagal 4 years ago
Thank you for stating the obvious. As if 99.9 percent of Bowie's fans don't know this.
LegendaireLestat 4 years ago
When I said by nature I mean they're not contact lenses. Some people think he's wearing contact lenses, mostly thanks to Marylin Manson.
LegendaireLestat 4 years ago
they think he wears contacts?
ah no....people must know.!

That's exagerating a bit. It just hit him in the left eye. He was angry because it got him in his bad eye.
LegendaireLestat 3 years ago
omg really?
haha things are attracted to his eye.
that happens to me actually, playing acrds especially.

silly Bowie. Tsk tsk! fighting over a girl

Wow I'd love to see that musical if it would ever bother coming down to little old New Zealand.
I love his eye contacts btw.
