Yes those are the only steps needed to seperate the lower and upper reciever. Inside of the ris there's your fuse about2-6mm below that is a connector yours will probably be covered by tape or shrink tubeing you need to disconnect those wires
can the battery fit in the fore grip?

you have to get something like a screwdriver put it on the pin and smack it out with a hammer or something heavy

Those are the only necessary steps? and are you saying you need to disconnect the battery or all the wires in the ris?
