It's not the best lightsaber special effects that I've seen so far, but the way you fought with them was the best ever! The special effects were better than alot of other videos I've seen though! I'm giving this a thumbs up! :)

@jaevees i know this is a 4 month old comment but like some of the other recent comments. Does anyone ever check upload dates? Uploaded in 2006, I saw it on a website before it was on youtube before that. Considering its age the effects at the time were pretty dam good! This is OLD.

@thenexus2006 I know, and so are many of the videos I've watched (In the early 2000's). Like HungKuen's lightsaber battle video, I thought the lightsaber effects were pretty cool. Technology can become more advanced in a span of a few years, so I understand that SOME of the newer video effects are better than the one's from several years ago. There are so many budgety films made today, so I have come to appreciate some of the older movies (Like Jurrasic Park, Star wars 4-6, Aliens, etc . . ).

Mitchell-- the admirable thing about this video is the choreography.  You really shouldn't be so overtly sterile in the way you make such specific Star Wars references to the supposed physical attributes and abilities of a "lightsaber". They aren't real, they are just an awesome concept, and look great in movies and videos, including this one. Don't talk shit about something which isn't even important to the quality of what you're rating. BTW this vid was very cool, needs better sound.

This is imo the best fan made saber fight out there. This is because you can see these guys have a strong background in sparring and have trained extensively. In many places they strike and block with proper intent at full(or close to) speed. Attention is paid to foot work and distance, voiding and parrying is used when appropriate. There is a minimum of the saber twirling/backwards stuff that you see in many other films. There are other great fan saber fights out there but this one is king.

I would like to know how much time was spent practicing the moves for the lightsaber battle. This one showed a lot more "Eastern sword fighting" than the Western fencing (I think that's what made the people like it more than the Star Wars lightsaber battles.). Keep up the good work!! I could watch a movie with this being a part of the preview!! XD

I have been reading the past couple of comments and I think that the music was good!! I think that the music depicted a sad, dramatic type of battle, similar to the Star War ones also. The music also gave me that "oriental" type of feeling as I watched the video. THe stunts were AMAZING!!!

Fantastic choreography, good ideas, albeit some seem ripped from Ep1 (split double light sabre) - which is fine to me, it still is very cool. Good camera work, nice cutting - almost perfect. I just don't like the chosen background music during the fight - something either more dramatic or more dynamic would be appropriate imo. (Original soundtrack would be perfect, since I generally don't like ripped music)

Entertaining, but 90% of those moves in a real fight would get you killed. The guy hoding the staff at half-staff like that was vulnerable to a thrust about 20 times, all the spin moves would have been easily countercut. Would love to see you try some actual full contact- full-speed sparring with realistic contact weapons.

yeah! i like it, great moves and well cut, i thought the spinning attack just before the kill looked great. If it had the hollywood budget it would be fantastic.
