It's a low C. The reason I believe it sounds so odd is because the camera is unable to pick-up the incredible bass sound that comes out of the horn. It's really amazing. Ahh, I miss that.
I experienced the same thing when I was on Sapphire in June 2006. The horn woke me up from my sleep and continued throughout the day. Man was it annoying.
I love the echo, it reminds me of the freightors. When theres a thick fog (trust me, a whole ship will just vanish) it does the same thing... I love Michigan. ^3^
I'll never forget that sound! I was on the ship during the fog and that horn blew sooooo many times. It's good though, you couldn't see more than 10 metres out, it was crazy!!

ive never been woken up by a horn on a ship lol.. you must either sleep out side or not have a door on your balcony
