Lots of songs from Mario 64 choke me up. I got it for Christmas when N64 came out in 1996. It's hard to believe that was almost 15 years ago. My parents would sit on the couch and watch my brother and I play through the game so lots of these songs have a special place in my heart.

My father is dead now but, in a weird way, I think of this song as a kind of ode to him and his memory echoes through my mind as much as that last chord.

This one night i couldn't get to sleep, I turned super mario 64 DS on and went to the level where you fight the block guy and stood next to the piranna plant. Then i put a rubber band around the r button so luigi would duck and not fall asleep and just let it play. I immeditly fell asleep hahaha~ This verison is just awesome, I've played it many times over! Man...I have lots of funny stories from this song when me and my bro and sis played the one for 64 a long time ago. Brings back memories...

I play this song in piano, it's more close to the original one that appears in the game, but one octave lowered like this one, it's beautiful, I don't play piano very often so I play very bad, but this one is pretty easy to play, today I was in music classes in my school and I started playing this in the piano and my girlfriend was like "Oooh, it's so cute! Where did you get that from!?" and a guy was sleeping after a few times I repeated it hahaha, you gotta love this song!
