0.5 m is not much. For a person like me (1.86) is from the feet to the knees. The formula was quickly derived. You are welcome to correct it if wrong:
Is bebouswirl one of the persons in the video? If so, how tall are you? Do you know the opening angle of the camera used? Or the distance to the camera? Without this we can`t be sure if this is possible or not. Assuming, however, that the guy is 1.85m, that it´s 4 m to the camera, it is enough with 0.5 m position difference for his two positions. Then you get a ratio of, 1,12, which is exactly what I get when measuring his height in the two positions...
This one is the best I have seen so far. The camera is perhaps somewhat to the right of the center, but is this enough to explain this, according to perspective laws? I doubt it. The fact that they stand on a ramp is not important (see previous comments), just measure their relative height in the image. How does the earths roundness come in, earthlingmike? Are you allowed to do the test suggested by bizworker?
You're like a pest. You're on all the Mystery spot videos. Your two cents have no value. And not because you're a fun-spoiling skeptic but primarily because you don't back up your skepticism with sufficient convincing reasons.
Height & Width: a1 should equal b1 but not a3 or b3. It's not just an optical illusion, but laws of physics. So far no one has found a conclusive scientific reasoning behind what is measured. The ramp is level. Yet, the results will be revealing and don't rely only on one's eye sight.
Use two yard sticks as a sextant formed in a V joined at one end. Put the axis on a stand in the same spot. Yard sticks must be movable. Point one stick at the bottom of the feet, the other at the top of their head. Measure the distance from the far end of one stick to the other. Write down each result.
2. Have both stand next to each other then separately at left, middle & right.
5. Triangulate height & width of ea twin in each spot from camera view of 10 ft away centered with what looks like the ramp, stone. Trianglulate width with them facining camera staight, outside of left shoulder to outside of right shoulder.
The ramp is not the key. You also have to look at the width of a person as they transition to the other side. The person on the right is always wider (bigger bodied) than the left. So, it's not just a ramp trick.
PART2:
0.5 m is not much. For a person like me (1.86) is from the feet to the knees. The formula was quickly derived. You are welcome to correct it if wrong:
arctan (height/2*distance_1) / arctan (height/2*distance_2).

No one can tell anything in this video from the camera tilting back and forth constantly.

blah blah blah blah...
Did I spoil your day by bursting your bubble and telling you that the Earth is round?
earthlingmike 2 years ago
No, you actually made my day better by confirming what I've already established below ^^

@fatallyattractiv89
So correct me if I'm wrong, but you having fun is more than figuring out the truth?

More important, I mean.

Next time try a series of scientific tests.
1. Choose two twins, same height, body size, etc.
