  • AHHEEEMM never played a sonic game before?

  • Yeah, I remember my first time. heh heh....

  • I myself can't wait to get this version of Sonic Generations. Dimps is finally starting to step up their game. And of course, the level design being the same for classic Sonic? I could care less, as long as the physics are spot on and the game is fun that's good enough for me.

  • Awsome game, on my channel I have a whole playlist filled with sonic generations gameplay videos

  • dude... u don't have to do a loop motion to go around loops.... you just hold forward

  • They better have TAILS AND KNUCKLES!

  • what the? SEGA IS MAKING A GOOD SONIC GAME?! AM I IN 1994? OMGGGGGGG YESSSSSS

  • can see ur face dude at the start 0:13 on the bottom

  • We need some some sonic advance in the 3DS. That would be cool:)

  • cant beat clasic

  • wow a sonic game i actually would get addme if any1 got a 3ds

  • Lieben wir es nich alle den Kopf zu drehen für ein Youtube Vid.

  • Someone reply please -

Can you use the D-pad with this game?

  • @joshch4 Yes, you can, but I'm not keen on using it because it's well known that the 3DS d-pad is a bit less than reliable (and comfortable)

  • @joshch4 Yes i saw gameplay of it

  • It would be hilarious if they forgot to remove the cheat where you press left left left right right right up up up on the pulley

  • It's funny how he moves his thumb round on the circle pad while going through a loop. Just push right lol

  • Thumbs up if you know for sure that 4's physics will be fixed when episode 2 is released

  • Sonic Rivals

  • @shion16 ....wat

  • @DarkkirbyKRPG its looks exactly like Sonic Rivals (PSP)

  • @shion16 you are kidding, right?

  • This game is gonna b the shit

  • cant wait. just as excited for sonic generations than i am for skyrim and ME3

  • Did you honestly just rotate the stick when you went off a loop?

    FAILURE.

  • Im not hating at ALL, but this is really just enhanced HD 3D sonic rush. Ahh, wtf, im gonna end up buying it anyway

  • kann man da nicht in die sonic adventure levels :/?

  • Wait a minute, I thought SEGA were making the stages look different to the original level design. From what i just saw it looks EXACTLY like the level structure from the original Sonic & Knuckles !

  • @SonicKing08 Some parts are designed to look like the original areas, but the levels are much longer and the layout is indeed different. You really have to pay attention to see what's different, because what is the same is burned in your head so well, that you may think it's all the same. The modern level is totally different, more so than the classic one.

  • wow looks better than sonic 4 already. cant wait =)

  • And the lever look harder. This is the same level... witheout the invicibility frame of Sonic 3 8D

  • Wow, a major improvement from the E3 demo.

Bravo, Dimps, you actually seem to care.

Onwards to November (gaming's best month)!

  • Has this guy ever played a sonic game before?

  • @DaLucster72 I'm guessing no.

  • @DaLucster72 Actually, the guy is better then a lot of people. Just watch the chemical plant gameplay, the guy here was a total noob.

  • Welp that settles it. I'm buying the 3DS and console versions. Fock yeah mushroom hill and no uncurling

  • So it's the exact same level I grew up with but with an inferior physics engine. Come on Dimps. Pull your finger out your arse and actually put some effort into your games please.

  • @slimmbob dude, they fixed the physics and uncurling, i think they DO care.

  • @slimmbob oh trust me, when you look at Green Hill Zone 3ds compared to this, this looks 100 times better.

  • @slimmbob When they get to the modern era they'll have to think of some new level layouts. shame, I wish the 3DS version was getting the same attention as its older brother instead of just having remade levels

  • can you play modern mushroom hill

  • ALI!!! HOUHOUHOU want to see more :D

  • Comment removed

  • Perhaps Sega should stop letting monkeys test the game.

  • Remake of the original level... Lazy Dimps is Lazy!

  • Want Morderns Level next!

  • It looks much better.

  • Comment removed

  • even if you don't like this version, you should be happy about it's improvement. why? because all of this fixes will be applied to Sonic 4: Episode 2

    'NUFF SAID

  • Much better than the E3 build, only thing I'm bummed about is that they reused the original layout instead of making a new one, but at least that means the level design is good XD

  • @KrazyScruffy9001 Well at least you didn{t say the game sucked because of the layout being different. Also I'm sure Modern will be different.

  • @Bluewind098 You're right on the money, Modern's level is completely different (it's in the fall, new layout, underground cave area) It looks beautiful.

Truth be told the game didn't look so good at E3, but now that they massively polished the game up since then, I'm definately going to get this version alongside the PC version (if it exists, but it's been leaked a million times so its safe to say it does)

  • it looks awesome! no uncurling! yeah! and the physics is better now :3

the one thing i hate in this video is: GOD DAMN DUDE, Y U SO NOOB?! USE THE SPIN DASH!

  • I tried using the debug mode like I did in Sonic and Knuckles. It didn't work.

  • For Christ's sake! Use the spin dash!

  • @Viddharto Maybe this wasn't meant to be a speed run, and a video to show off the gameplay

  • @TripleXero Good point.

  • The console version sucks ass the controls are unresponsive and sonic keeps trying to run past the damn screen and into enemies. This version looks superior!.

  • Awesome! Just wondering, by any chance, did you record Modern Sonic MHZ? If so, can you upload it? :D

  • HURR DURR BUTTHURT SONIC FANS COMPLAINING ABOUT COPY PASTE LEVEL. Cry more, your tears make me moist.

  • @LunarSonic He's right, though. This is quite literally the same Act 1 of Mushroom Hill Zone. Not that I'm throwing fits or anything, but I wonder if I'd rather just play the original version versus this one. We'll see.

  • @Raveheart90 Its Dimps though, instead of everyone wetting themselves, they should be celebrating that they fixed the uncurling. What would you want, a fixed Sonic or ONE level that can easily be replaced by DLC in the near future.

  • @LunarSonic Speaking of Dimps, I love how in 2005 everyone LOVED Dimps, and put them above Sonic Team, and now everyone's saying Dimps sucks. This fanbase is so weird..

  • @supermax110 Thats the Sonic fanbase for you, all over the place :P

  • @supermax110 tell me about it

  • How come the spindash here looks not as shitty as the console version?

  • @Jamez00Sonic The console version's was shitty?

  • @Raveheart90 I think he's referring to how the spindash is pretty much a boost on the console version. :|

  • @rockerztonight1 Maybe because nobody else cares except you?

The modern sonic stages are new and the classic stages get a 3D makeover. They're meant to be a throwback, so it's no big deal either way. Even if the whole game was nothing but a graphical update it'd still be worth it just to have 3D, portable versions of classic stages with remixed music.

  • @rockerztonight1 yes god forbit people actually ENJOY a modern sonic game that would be SOOO BAD... god i hate how modern fanbases are such whiny bastards! Generations looks like a great game, SEGA is trying really hard to makes sonic's 20th fun for his fans...but I guess some people are to caught up in their anger to be happy.

  • Great! Hope they improve Green Hill to be as colorful as this. Also, can you put up a video of the modern version? That would be great!

  • Man! I just gotta get both versions of this game!

  • Ok so well done to DIMPS for actually giving a shit about the game and fixing the physics and shit. The problem? All the levels from the console version are completely new versions of classic levels. Green hill zone and mushroom hill are EXACTLY the way they were in the original versions. And I have all the old games on multiple machines so what's the point? Sorry but this sucks.

  • Graphics look better, aw yes.

  • SONIC WE LOVE YOU!!!

  • Still looks like crap. Sigh.

  • The physics actually have recieved a far bigger improvement from the previous build, which is a great thing. One thing that I wonder is will they do original level layout for Classic Sonic, right now it just seems like they are giving him the same ones from the games he came from. Other than that this is starting to look like it is worth picking up.

  • Mighty, Ray and Fang will appear?

I expect a very positive confirmation.

  • ...looks like I'm buying both versions on release day.

    ;-;

  • It's glitchy, hopefully Dimps caters to the glitches now that they've got the formula right. Otherwise, looks great.

  • Well i think the reason the build at E3 was so poor comparted to the console version was because that build was just something put together to show ppl that that version exists. But now i'm seriously hyped for this, it doesn't look like any real physics issues are present though i wish we had a clearer game play vid but i ether way I'm definitely getting this version. Also the fact that the level design is the same doens't really bother me especially since modern will have a be more unique.

  • Cool, but why they must copy the original level design?

  • it looks better than the E3 demo i can tell you that, but i'm not done watching

  • Wait. At 0:30 they fixed the uncurling! And at 1:41 Sonic keeps up his speed in the air without the player holding right! Graphically the stage also seems to not have any slowdown like what was shown in green hill despite the backgrounds being more detailed... Does that mean that Dimps actually gives a damn? WHAT A TWIST!!!

  • @TheBlueSpikes Maybe Sonic 4 will redeem itself?

  • @TheBlueSpikes i loved the part when you said " WHAT A TWIST!!!"

  • @TheBlueSpikes well if you played the sonic advance games you can trust dimps with sonic physics dont let Sonic Rush or 4 fool you

  • @MTFAMV Sonic Rush was great

  • @TheBlueSpikes Well, Sonic Advance 1 was developed by Dimps and I think it had the most accurate physics compared to the classics of the Genesis days... So I guess it is not that difficult to Dimps actually to get it right.

  • @Wartogh:

Morons just think one game ruins someone's whole reputation.

  • THUMBS UP FOR NO UNCURLING

  • @AluadoPK Thank God! That was one of the stupidest things they ever added.

  • At 0:29... did he just... not uncurl? 0.0 There goes the neighborhood. XD

  • Looks good now!

  • Actually looks better this time

My hopes for this game is going up

  • actually looks decent...

  • The physics are actually working well. Still a tad quirky.

  • Horrible Physics only in 3DS version.

  • @relu419 They look fine to me. A MUCH bigger improvment over the E3 build.

  • FIRST COMMENT?!?!

    HOLY SHIT YES!!
