  • Thanks so much. I just ordered the one with the cord. Did you gert the cordless one?

  • I bought this today at Sephora! I'm glad he gave this a great review, I was getting a little nervous at first b/c I value his reviews & I know when he thinks a product sucks... He's serious! I decided to take the risk & buy it b/c I'm so sick of buying all these skin care products, shopping for cosmetics is fun but overwhelming at times. I'll try it with the cleanser it comes w/ along w/ the samples I got! Wish me luck!!! Lol

  • My skin was so perfect and after using this, I think it did break me out. What's the prob? I'm using every nite and twice at once. Is it too much? :(

  • @julia820919 depending on your skin and the cleanser you're using, it's gentle enough to use for 1 minute everyday. but if you're a relatively new user, then your skin is doing something called purging, where it's getting rid of all of the dirt and toxins that have been built up in your pores for a really long time. most likely, the dirt is what's making you break out.

  • although my face is clearing up a bit (still a few breakouts here + there) i've been left with a load of dark scars, do you think this would help? thanks love, always like hear your thoughts!

  • I wonder, could you use a toothbrush similarly?

  • @mariapavlenko toothbrushes are a but rougher, I personally suggest the facial brush from body shop fro 3 pounds.

  • a-ha! i have never heard anyone use the "grizzly adams" reference ever before!!! LOOFFF!!!

  • when cleaning makeup, what cleanser do you use with the clarisonic?

  • @msgeli1989 your probs using it too much! or its too harsh and your over exfoliating so your bringing up excess pimples and what not to the surface. or you might have just been congested and with the exfoliating it opened up the skin which brought out the rest of any acne you might have had.

  • @msgeli1989 same here:/ I have been using it for 4 weeks and the breakouts won't stop. The olay NEVER broke me out. Idk, I am thinking about returning the clarisonic. It's just sad because EVERYONE loves it.

  • From what the manufacturer says, the brush spins, not vibrate, and from what I can see on mine...it spins....real fast! lol

  • You do have good skin but it looks irritated. A good facial one a month will do just as good as this and its more relaxing.

  • We sell these things in my office. We don't sell a lot and I think they are the stupidest thing ever I have done 12 years of med school and never would recommend this.

  • Thank you so much for this review. I value and trust your opinion and found this video helpful.

  • Can dry skin people use this???

  • Hello , Thank for all you great Videos!! Do you used the clarisonic opal too?

  • Waste of money. I have a $2 brush that is the same thing, it just doesn't vibrate or move. Instead, my hand does the moving. Same results, but I think the Clarisonic can be worse, in the sense that it's too harsh because you can't control the movement of the bristles. With the brush I have, all I have to do is massage my skin a lot slower and lighter. It removes dead skin cells and minimizes pores and removes blackheads.

Whoever decided to charge $100+ for this is a jackass.

  • Yeah, I have the Clarisonic Classic, and I only use it twice a week. I have a review on my own channel!

  • have you ever used a shaving brush? how does it compare?

  • hi wayne & all, i was wondering if i could just buy a normal electric toothbrush and get the same result??? it would be cheaper and probably more gentle, lol. thanks!

  • @21972012145525 If you eBay search "exfoliating facial brush" and look up the cheapest first, you will find a brush that is $1.24 shipped! It has the same results as a Clarisonic. I use mine with a cleanser, and it works great. I like "manual" brushes more because I can control the massage intensity and they're so cheap. I will not cry if I have to replace it. With consistent use, it removes blackheads, dead skin cells, and makes my skin so amazingly soft/smooth. My acne has also gone away.

  • The price factor is the only disadvantage in my opinion. The other 2 you mentioned are not really disadvantages but negative effects brought about by people not following instructions.

  • This review totally just convinced me to buy one of these... now to decide on which colour! xx

  • How do you use Retin-A every other night without your skin looking like total crap? When I did it my face kept flaking off every day, and it was so dry no matter what I put on it! That's why I stopped doing it after only a week.

  • @rvggarcon Use a very small amount, or mix it 50/50 with a moisturizer. I used it for 3 months and my skin never once flaked off, but it did become more red. I asked my doctor about it, since I thought my skin was meant to flake off! She said that usually just happens when people use way too much. It is a longer-term product, you won't see 'final results' for 2-3 months, so you either need to stick with it or forget about trying it completely, you cannot just 'try' retin-a.

  • @lenorelurks Oh really? I thought it was supposed to make your skin look like shit and then after that you would see results, after 2 months. Does it still get the same results if you are just using very little?

  • @rvggarcon When I was looking into it, I was reading a lot of user reviews of it, pretty much all of them said their skin was flaky and peeling from it, which is possible but usually just when you're using too much. You really only need a pea sized amount for your entire face/some neck area. Some people find it affects them too much so they mix it with a bit of moisturizer and they have no problems. It was originally designed for wrinkles, not pimples, so just use a little :)

  • Will my sonic toothbrush do the trick?

  • Thanks for doing a proper review. Most reviews are by shit talking women who can't give you anything to go by.

  • have you found any new products that might compare to this and at a lower price? Thanks

  • I wonder where retin-a is available prescription free?

  • @BotherationIsZero online generic version, it's called tretinoin.

  • I have had my clarisonic for probbly 3 yrs or so. It still works great.i do find I need to charge it about once a week now,so sure it wont last forever, but i have got my moneys worth out of it I think. My skin has always been sensitive to retinols and retin a..Retinol one time a week and i am dry and flaky for a week!So I love this.I think they reccomend changing the brush every few months, but an aesthetician told me evry 6 months will do.keep it up and dry.I use it once a day typically.

  • you look so hot with facial hair, wayne

  • Hey man, thanks fr a blokes review. I'm a builder with a bit of a beard/long stubble does it work through the stubble? As that where I get bad acne.

  • how often do you use it?

  • You look gorgeous with facial hair.

  • Are you still using this, Wayne?

  • @webdivauk i believe he is. he showed it in one of his other videos

  • U r awesome! Great reviews, Very informative, I have a clarisonic, and was indeed using other exfoliators, i.e. retinols etc..U r not kidding about the skin irritation! I have been having a horrible time with it!! Your advice is the best I've found. I did ease up on them, but I will do so more thanks to your great and sound review/advice.

  • Over 1 year on, still using this?

Only thing putting me off buying this is the price.

  • @Smile85000 try sirius skinsonic. it's basically the same and only $50, plus it has a bunch of additional brushes and sponges that the clarisonic doesn't have.

  • I though that I was the only one who did not like the Clarisonic, but obviously I did something wrong. I purchased the Mia version 3 months ago and started using it both am and pm. But, in a a matter of weeks my skin started to look uneven and with a bad texture. I am using the 3 step system by Clinique for blemish skin. I have been using the same products for years and they cured my acne. The only new product introduced is Neutrogena Ani wrinkle night cream. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks!

  • @zaioto i would cut back to once a day or every other day, use the sensitive brush, and avoid using cleansers with chemical exfoliants like glycolic/salicylic acid in them with the clarisonic.

  • @aria19x Thank you! I have used exactly that salicylic acid based cleanser and my skin freaked out. I am to try something gentle now and will see what will happen. And will also start using the Mia less frequently now. Do you use face masks when using the Clarisonc, or is too much?

  • @zaioto no problem! i do use them about once a week. the only thing i cut back on when i started using the clarisonic were chemical exfoliators and scrubs :)

  • @tiarefleur1 So, I can still use the Mia and a face mask after that and it won't hurt my skin? I cut using the Clarisonic only to 3 times a week, but it is not enough and I am going to search for a good cleanser. Any recommendations? Thanks :)

  • @zaioto i'm sure it would be fine! my favorite is boscia's purifying cleanser from sephora :) it's all natural but it still cleans really well

  • @tiarefleur1 Thanks for that suggestion. The nearest Sephora to me is 2 hours way, but I am planning on going and will be searching for it. Do you thing it will be ok for combination/oily skin type?

  • @tiarefleur1 yes, that's what i have and i love it

  • love your hair in this one.

  • wouldn't a face brush do the same job? A good cleanser with a small facial brush washing in circular motion...?

I dont get what is SO special about the brush LOL

  • @coach12 It vibrates instead of just rotating slowly, if anyone does a comparison b/t the Clarisonic n the Olay cleansing brush you'll see the difference

  • Can you please do a review on the new Olay Pro X cleansing brush?? I have it and adore it..Some say its a dupe for the Clarisonic. I still want a Clarisonic, but would love for someone who has a Clarisonic to try the Olay one and give us an honest opinion of what they think = )

  • Too much Kenny Everett! lol!

  • You have David Beckham type hair. I love it lol. I know completely off topic, but I thought I would throw a compliment out there.

  • is there a dupe?

  • @k40290 I have the one from Sigma Beauty & it works great. & it's only like $40

you can get it at sigmabeauty DOTCOM /?Click=78195

  • did you have a "purging" phase with the clarisonic? The only thing that's holding me back is all the things I've heard of breaking out severely for a while after using it. What do you think of this? is the purging normal?

  • do you think using the clarisonic at night and then in the morning using a very light exfoliator.. meant for daily use is bad... i use the bliss fabulous foaming face wash and i can barely tell its exfoliating... but is that harming my skin?

  • @ilyKayla13 ur not meant to use an exfoliator with it because it will be too harsh. there was a vid with the maker of the clarisonic and he said never use an exfoliator with it. the main purpose of the clarisonic is to cleanse the skin

  • So glad you did this review. I just got mine today and can't wait for it to charge. It just vibrates right? Because I don't see anything spinning around. Thanks! xx

  • Your skin is great, but why so shiny :-S ? Shiny foreheads are usually an indication of botox.

  • I have the DDF brush, it's about half the price of the Clarisonic. This brush spins instead of vibrating, so I feel it's a little more effective. I DON'T use the foam head with the crystals though, those are too abrasive. I just use the brush head with a gentle cleanser. I especially love it because I got the DDF device for free with my ULTA reward points. :) My skin looks great! (Well, Retin-A has a lot to do with that, but exfoliation is key!)

  • My skin hasn't looked this good since I was a kid! Love this thing. Thinking about getting the Opal too.

  • i've got a blue mia :) i loooooooooove it :D

  • Hey Wayne! Mine just came in the mail today, birthday gift for me!! :) I can't wait to use it, I hope it helps reduce pore appearance, it claims to do that! How often do you change your brush head? I have to be very careful and extra extra clean with everything, I had a bone marrow transplant earlier this year so I'm super sensitive to everything now! xoxo Michele

  • Have it. Love it. Helped with my acne. It does what it says it does.

  • this guy is adorbs

  • I got the mini Mia version of this Clarisonic last Christmas for myself. It cost about 150$ I think, so no small purchase for sure. I use it everyday and LOVE it. I would buy this again.

  • Love GossMakeup!!!!

  • I too, am wondering if you are still using the Clarisonic?

  • I've been using this clarisonic for oh about 3 yrs now and I love it, and yes I am also guilty of over exfoliating, cant help it either. This clarisonic really is amazing and I believe worth the price, it makes my skin products actually work so much better, and for what I pay for my skin products this just makes it worth it.

  • I appreciate a more truthful review, Thank you.

  • almost a year later, are you still using this??

  • hey i wanted to know, i get laser hair removal ... would it be safe to use this or is that doing too much to my skin?

  • is it alright to use this brush with 10% BP?

  • @AureliaDragomir thats because 2 times a day is way too much..!

  • bought it today cant wait to use it when its charged full :)

  • "It does exactly what it says on the tin." Haha! I can't hear that sentance and not see Twiggy looking at Patsy all paralized in the face from using her "Paralox" on AbFab ;P

I thought you did a review on this - I was looking for it because I've been thinking about finally pickup up one of these :) Thanks!

  • This review was really helpful thank you very much for the information! Subscribed : )

  • @williamaudoire He said on the video: he uses the brush for sensitive skin.

  • I am kinda scared of brushes, Because my skin is oh so sensitive. Right now I use another product 3 times a week. Avon Solutions Vibes Power Cleanser. It vibrates, the pads get super lathery and it has sugar cane extract. If they sold the Clarisonic over here and had demos where as I can feel the sensitive brush then I would definitely try it! But in order for me to try it, I would have to buy it and I don't know about that yetI But great review!

  • I love your reviews ....I always feel like I can trust your opinion.

  • I'm buying this soon and I need another guy's opinion. Is the normal brushhead really painful and abrasive like most people say? Should I stick to sensitive?

  • You mean the sonicare toothbrush. lol We all make mistakes though

  • I like your accent

  • I just wanted to clarify that the brush doesn't vibrate, but oscillates, back and forth.

  • Just found you on youtube....you are awesome...loving all your videos

  • what model do you have? pro, plus, classic, or mia?

  • @peace2sign He said in the video that he has the plus.

  • i bought it a few weeks ago and i love it! i had some bad black heads but now im really clearing up.

    grt review thx old man

  • would you recommend the mia, or do you think the plus is worth the extra money?

  • i really want this but the price seems crazy. qvc do a version of this called 'tresonics' for a fraction of the price. may try that version out first and see how i find it.

  • It does clean incredibly well but for me, it broke my skin our really bad

  • You're review was so helpful. I'm definitely going to invest in one now. Thank you!

  • thanks very much for your advice bro, i think im gonna go for one :)

  • I am so glad to see this review, I have been watching this product for awhile, I'm glad to know your opinion, your skin looks smooth as glass and very polished, glad to know this got thumbs up from you. Now I can buy it with more confidence in the outcome.

    Thanks much

  • which cleanser do u use with it?

  • I have watched your older videos...the Clarisonic has made your skin very even toned. Perhaps you have not compared, but to look at your skin now is all one needs to be sold on the product. In fact it was your review that sold me. I have had the brush for about 4 mos and I LOVE it.

  • I love my clarisonic it for sure cleans better than anything else! ESP after a tutorial!

  • What cleanser do you use, Goss?

  • thanks so SO much for this. I had already heard good stuff about clarsonic but yours was the last drop really (maybe cause it was also the first time I heard from someone here in the uk?), just ordered mine :) xx

  • LOVE your video! Your acne vid helped me sooo much! I didnt have BADBAD acne, but i did what you said! and now i have like NO spots. Ive got a few scars but hopefully that will go in time! :) THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU XXXXXXX

  • Very useful. I have been thinking about buying this. Thanks :-)

  • Thank you so much for this vid, t'was very informative, always on top in my books. Cheers!

  • I like the reviews, Wayne, so keep them coming!

I also have the Clarisonic Face Brush and I use it once a week for deep cleaning. And you do have to be careful about over exfoliating your skin, which can lead to irritation and other problems.

  • Very informative...;0)

  • I love my Clarisonic too! I can not say my skin is perfect after a year of use, but it looks and feels definitely better than it was before. I have less blemishes and my face is smoother. Love it!

  • Have this on the to buy list.. remarkable timing you have.

Thanks for the great review. :]

  • Thank yu Wayne, how coincidental, I was considering the brush and your review was very educational and helped me make my decision.....I will let yu know how it worked out :O) the Dermalogica micro foliant works very similar, I love it , skin is nice and smooth, pores are smaller, I have oily skin, that was recommended by lollipop26

  • Hey! Great video! <3

Check out my channel for makeup and hair tutorials! Thanks <3

  • You are so incredibly nice, charming and cute that even if you'd ever do a grass growth review, it still would be fascinating! I absolutely love and adore you, Wayne! Keep it up xxx

  • will this work for everyone?

  • So cute when you talk about over-exfoliating and say "I dunno, just can't help myself" :) I wonder if the redneck version (a baby-soft toothbrush) could come close to doing as good of a job, with patience of course. And I wonder if someone with slight rosacea/broken caps should avoid either of those two? (These ?s go out to all readers) Thanks for the review and btw you look fab with a beard.

  • I have sensative skin that gets flakey in the winter. I debated on buying this because it is so expensive but when QVC had it for several payments I took the plunge So glad I did I had a bumpy red scar from a hair styling appliance burn for 4 years. Didn't even expect this product to change that, just bought it for the rest of my face. After only a couple of uses the scar was so less red and already smoothing out. It is totally gone now! I use the sensative brush 1 or 2 times a week.

  • Hi Wayne: Happy Birthday! Can you say how this compares with a manual brush, like the Dermologica anti-bacterial face brush?

  • love the thicker stubble ;) great review xxx

  • My skin is too thin for this. I wish I could use it. I know everyone loves it.

  • when you say you get skin irritations from over exfoliating, what do you mean exactly?

Like what happens from over exfoliating??

  • Your skin gets red spots, your skin gets hypersensitive and starts pealing off. That same thing happens to me if I use my Murad Acne Cleanser more than a week straight =/. When you start using the Clairisonic, you can use it regularly, but it gets a point your skin's better and you need to use it less often. Hope it helps!

  • Wayne the beard could work with some fake boobs and a feather boa...for a REAL 80's look

  • The hair is great!

  • Thanks for the info, I am interested in getting one. I have never felt like a wash cloth is getting all the residue off of my face Great review!! Keep on winking!!!!! Your number one fan! Katie

  • I was watching this product on qvc and it doesn't just vibrate it osilates about 1 hundred times per second...Its so fast the naked eye cant see it only if you have an HD flashlight..I'm def getting one, besides it cleansing your skin it even helps with lines and wrinklies..It's in investment for your skin..By the way, nice review..

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for the review. I have thought about buying one, but used my mom's once and my skin started pealing. I used a light touch and it still was pretty harsh. Maybe I just need to sensitive skin brush.

    Thanks again!

  • I've seen loreal has these new cleansers that have this little gel brushes that are great for mild exfoliations. Hope it helps! =)

  • I bought the Loreal Go 360 Clean in the sensitive skin formula (soap-free, unscented) yesterday and the little silicone scrubber was much softer than I was expecting. My face felt great this morning and my makeup went on smoother too. It was on sale for $5.29 at Walgreen's even though the shelf price said $6.99. I think I'm really going to like it.

  • Glad to hear it! =)

  • i like ur honest reviews.pls do a review on argan oil

  • Will you marry me Wayne

  • Wayne,

I really appreciate your honest reviews. I don't have words to explain how much I appreciate actually. So I'll leave with a simple - Thanks.

    Annie

  • your skin looks very healthy! thx so much for the thorough review! I love your vids - very helpful!

  • Greatly appreciate all your videos, Wayne. Thanks for everythig, man!

  • Im thinking of getting one of these so the information is much appreciated

  • question: how would you know if your skin was a sensitive type?

  • @JellyLovesU its pretty obvious your skin doesn't take well to many harsh or even reglar products, also the sun.

  • hi! i love your videos :X

you talked a few times about the things that can really get rid of wrinkles, but what are those things? can you please do a video on that?

    thanks

  • Haha! I've never heard anyone else refer to themselves and their scruff as 'Grizzly Adams', love it.

Anyway, great review, I've been interested in purchasing the Clarisonic for a while now.

  • I got a Clairsonic for Christmas, and I do love it. It makes my skin cleaner, but it's also reduced the oil production. (This sucks partially because I've had to change my makeup and skin care routine because I now have drier skin)

Good to hear another great review from someone who's opinion i respect and trust.

  • omg you look you so good with your hair like that and your scruff, yummy

  • Pretika mkes a good dupe for alot less-about $50. I love it!

  • Clairisonic is sold in the USA on QVC shopping channel. They have two versions, $195-225, so they are about the same as in UK less the VAT. We can buy them for 3 easy payments.

A new product is the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion System with pods of goo to infuse. It has 4 1/2 stars ratings. Since you have no wrinkles it wouldn't be a product for you. It is $243. with three easy payments, but you have to buy more Sea Serum goo in pods when you run out.

  • @gossmakeupartist omg I'm sorry! When I opened up the video it was titled "jklghy" or something along those lines. It was really weird, but maybe it was because I saw your video as soon as you had uploaded it.

  • it can be used in the shower :)

  • what do you use retin a for?

  • Great review, I've been interested in the Clarisonic recently. I wonder if it can be used in the shower?

  • thank u so much for this review.....

very timely too i was jus thinking of getting this :)

  • I bought the Clarisonic after seeing it in my derm's office, but I just think it's ~ ok. It's a fun tool, but I would't tell anyone to run out and get it.

  • What???? No wink????? Wayne....what are you thinking? No wink....no rate.....just kidding.

  • I did some research and found that some doctors have said that it's not an exfoliator so I use it lightly and still exfoliate twice a week. You are right though, using it too hard will cause bumps or harsh blemishes on your skin. Careful not to push too hard! ;)

  • Like Wayne said, be very careful when using the Clarisonic. I got overzealous, irritated my skin and broke out in 14 (I'm a counter) large pimples which took a good 2 weeks to heal. I really enjoyed the 3 cleansers that came with it. I found a discounted Clarisonic online.

  • thanks for the review!

  • Oh no - I was hoping for this to be a negative review so I wouldn't feel like I was missing out. I really want it now ... but it's so expensive :( xx

  • @purplegliterz lol me too.. been wanting one for over a year now but the price is so steep.. was also hoping for this to be negative lol

  • i love the clarisonic! it's a fabulous investment! It's my 2nd year using it and it's completely transformed my skin!

  • oo great, I just ordered it last week. Glad to hear it actually works!

  • Thanks for doing this review, i actually think i might go out and get this now. Just a question, have you tried the Dermanew, microdermabration kit? It's similar, only with a dual attatchment. I don't know which to pick, though i have to say, i trust your reviews much more than those of most other YT gurus.

  • Since the cleansers that are used with this need to be non-foaming, what are some of your recommendations for sensitive, dry skin cleansers that would not foam with the Clarisonic?

  • nice beard. woof woof!

  • I've been using this brush for 8 months. I really love this product. Feel so clean and no harsh on my skin. Perfect cleansing is the first step to flawless skin!!

  • i bought one too, its amazing, works great on my sensitive skin. Its a good investment

  • I like your beard! Looks great on you :)

  • is you've got active acne and sensitive skin would this not exfoliate the heads off of the pastules etc and make your skin raw?

  • I have VERY sensitive skin (and use the "delicate' brush head), but I don't see how this could exfoliate heads off unless you were really forcing it hard into your skin.

It is just supposed to sit on top of the skin to cleanse.

  • I have a feeling I may need the sensitive too, I think I'm still finding it hard to not see it as abrasive - my skin really does not like aggressive exfoliants! I only get mild congestion type acne on my forehead and on occasion, my nose, these days, but its very easily irritated and made worse!

Thanks for the comment... now to justify £175!!

  • Watch for the different type brush heads. There are actually 3 for the face. Regular, sensitive and delicate (the gentlest). I first used sensitive, but found that delicate worked better for me. They are a little harder to find than the others. eBay for the replacement brush heads is a good source.

  • Oh....if you use it properly it is not at ALL abrasive. However, it could be if you pressed the brush on your face.

  • sexy!

  • Great Review!~...I would have thought the bristles did move...around...It was a bit disappointing they didn't...i don't know why...All along I thought those bristles moved...:?

This would be great for oily skin types..I'm not sure about dry though..I think it would be great for those with flaky dry skin patches..It looks like it would be ..

    Thanks for sharing..!~

  • If you have dry skin then use a lotion or cream cleanser.

  • I love the sensitive brush heads. The regular one is a little too much for me.
