When a bigoted term is used by A against B, nobody is certain how that word is being used, and it MIGHT be being used offensively. However, if A is of the same group as B, it CAN'T be offensive, 'cause then it would apply to A also.

Just IMHO, I know gays on both sides of the spectrum--those who don't care about "faggot" and those who are deeply offended by it.
I'd just avoid it in case the person you're dealing with is one of the latter, and God knows there's nothing worse than incurring the wrath of an angry gay man. I know a guy who hospitalized a mugger with a cell phone. Cell phone.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that words that have a demeaning condensation illegal because how do you place bars on freedom of speech? However,I myself am of the opinion that they are fueled by hatred, ignorance, and/or thoughtlessness which is conceived of fear. That, to me, is socially volatile and it's even more a mystery to me why "minorities" even refer to eachother with words that were once so undeniably repressing. If one REALLY understood discrimination in history, itwould be no jke

The Bible states, "Man Shall Not Lie With Man, God Hates That!" Also, please make sure you know what the word"prove" means before you reply. Your allegations are presumptuous, fearful, and discriminatory. By the way, you people who use Leviticus 18:20 for your argument seem to forget that people who wear mixed fabrics, eat shellfish, and who were unruly children are ALSO hated by God. A gay man to a gay man would never use it like that. It's not necessarily that positive. The LGBT community has been trying to take back the word "queer" which is a more positive word, but you wouldn't say "Hey what's up, queer?"
