italia not just baggio are you stupid? dimitrio albertini had a great shot and amazing passing ablities, antonio conte was a great midfielder, roberto donadoni was a skillful winger,Giuseppe Signori andother great winger. I think Sacchi's tactics were so negative that these great players were run ragged with his defensive system, & not allowed to flourish in 1994. I agree that Italy's players were as good as any in the tournament, but with a coach like Lippi or Capello..there would have been goals from Signori, Albertini, Zola..Dino Baggio was their revelation in 94. Albertini, Maldini, Donadoni the world knew from Champions League history. ps. Italy are 'notoriously slow starters' as in 1982, 1994, 2006 ;)

'just Baggio' - but what a performance from Il Divino Codino..by a head and shoulders the most individually gifted player, although 1994 was Romario's glory. Bebeto was a real unsung hero, for a victory to lift their country. Romania-Brazil semi would have pleased me.

Next brilliant player Hagi unfortunately missed out taking his team further. Then Klinsmann, Stoichkov & Romario equally great solo goals, but with better attack moves in their teams. And just below Batigol!!! Peace
