I live in San Antonio and those are our Texas symbols. While most would consider this cheesy if they lived outside of Texas or if they lived in downtown Austin, it would not be out of character for people here to dress like cowboys from time to time. For the second time in 24 hours, this assclown calls for suspending the confirmation of an Obama nominee, only to vote to confirm them the next day. He voted in favor of snding Timothy Geithner's nomination to the full Senate for confirmation just this morning. This guy is an idiot. And to think the RNC tapped him to head the Republican Senatorial Candidates Committee. I live in San Antonio and those are our Texas symbols. While most would consider this cheesy if they lived outside of Texas or if they lived in downtown Austin, it would not be out of character for people here to dress like cowboys from time to time. Men AND women wear clothing like that proudly on weekend nights at dance halls or cultural celebrations. Its not in bad taste nor that tacky for the audience it was produced for, AKA Texans. It was obviously in good fun.

This is probably not an ad to be broadcast to the general public, but instead an insider thing to "fire up the base".
Notice the "Call folk, hustle, outwork our foe" and the "we got your back" talk in there.
Elections are won by the "energized base" getting the almost-apathetic voters to bother to show up on election day. Most of the people that vote for Cornyn will never see this ad.
And most of the people that see this ad will never vote for Cornyn, so keep forwarding that link!
