  • An answer to beatsax: In his soul.

  • Bravo! E non aggiungo altro......

  • Toots, Quincy and God, magnifico!

  • @beatsax -- You don't know much Belgian history, right? If you want

to talk about suffering, think Belgium during WWII when they were

    occupied by the Nazis.

  • @maogwanshi an WW1 for that matter

  • Fxstic!

  • Magical!

  • breath taking.just superb.5*****

  • Chill, y'all. Just trash talkin. That's the problem with posting online, no one can see your face, your body language. I had tears too. Soul is born from a life of suffering, struggle, love, and the recognition of beauty. It's what makes us human and not machines. Machines can't recognize or appreciate humor either, and here we are trying to communicate through machines.

  • @beatsax Ha! Know what you mean.

  • "Where did that Belgian guy get so much soul"? What a fatuous remark. I'm English, and got a couple of tears listening to this. Stereotyping is for mugs.

  • Toots!!! best harmonica player!

  • 音楽の神様と音楽の女神様。・競演です・物凄く心が震えています・最高です・お酒でも飲みましょう

  • Verdomme, wat is dit geweldig! Jean Toots Thielemans....de meester!

  • Breathtaking...

  • what great musicians....mon chapeau pour monsieur Thielemans

salut ....a votre sante e merci

  • Thanks for posting this great video. BTW did anyone notice that Toots sneaked in a short "Oleo" quote at 5:13? Hahaha! Great stuff!

  • awesome.two giants of jazz music.now thats wat you call RESPECT.these guys have known each other a life time and boy does it show.this is wonderful.

  • Toots after 'gimme fives': "I know this guy 40 years." Pure joy.

  • Amazing...he IS the BEST of the BEST!!!

  • My father loved both of these artists and introduced me to jazz which I learned to love and appreciate. Every time I hear Toots play I think of my dad, now passed and it brings tears to my eyes. Isn't that would good music is supposed to do? move us, and this union surely does.

  • soul is universal as easily seen here, given as a gift with grace

  • Moved to tears...

  • Love him, love this performance!

  • @yahoo.com. Truly such beautiful soulful gathering of TOOTS AND QUINCY.EYES OF LOVE is such a magnificent score ,it makes feelings of love REAL AGAIN. THANKS YOU TUBE FOR THIS !!!!

  • uff!! Dos palabras. Piel Chinita!

  • simplemente extraordinario que musica que talento que gusto ver como disfrutan de su arte nada que decir a veces pienso que este tipo de musica es algo muy parecido a un orgasmo musical grande a los dos maestros toots y que decir de mister quincy

  • Where did that Belgian guy get so much soul?

  • @beatsax

    In brussels Belgium

every american toerist is thinking about to go to holland, our neighbour

but when they discover us, they say me are more open, the landscape and buildings are more beautiful here and the food and beer is the best in the world!

  • @beatsax

Ray Charles once said that he has a black ass... charlie Parker calls him a motherfucker and stevie wonder always calls him on his birthday;)

  • @beatsax

In Belgium of course ... ;-) (I'm just kidding, I'm a belgian guy but unfortunately not a musician ...)

  • @beatsax I am guessing that's the same question Stevie Wonder was asking himself...he learned from Toots. Don't fall into the trap of stereotyping

  • @beatsax In the "Marollen" I guess!

  • There'll never be another Toots. There isn't even a close second. There is no need for anyone to aspire to be like him. It is a quest beyond attaining. I am grateful it has been deemed he live a long and fruitful life. It is what I would have wanted for him, in return for his legacy gift to music. Who knew a harmonica, for crying out loud, was capable of symphonic accompaniment?

  • Holy shit, this is awesome. I love the little bit of Monk (I think) that he works in at the end. The guy is a monster.

  • Wonderfull

  • before the days of vcr's i used to wait for the mediocre movie, Banning, to appear on the late movie just to hear this song in the soundtrack.... gorgeous song...."and i am counting kisses instead of counting sheep"..." how sad the eyes of love are fast asleep" thank you so much

  • very nice ! ですね.

  • This is clearly a union of two masters of music and performance. Toots is absolutely into his patented 'tear with a smile" mode and Quincy has arranged a superb cushion of strings that supports the entire composition. I can not stop listening to this. Thank you for the posting. I have seen this before on Youtube.

  • @amtrakatsfnyc The relationship between them both really does make this special, such a beautiful arrangment. Puts you to sleep.

  • Surpreendente apresentação de estilo, classe, humor e profissionalismo...Linda canção, um arranjo com a cara do mestre Quincy Jones. Perfeito.

  • Jesus H, what superb musical magic this man Toots has in his soul. I'm just a bit too knocked out to waffle.

  • @JAZZOLOGIST1 Soul is what both Toots and Quincy have. If we loose their magic, there will be nothing left decent to listen to. I listen to this every night and sit in awe, night after night.

  • @fngrs88

nothing left,? what kind of close-minded sicko are you?

  • MY GOD!!!
