HEY EVERY ONE. I JUST MEET JIM RIPPEY TODAY IN BANNING HIGH SCHOOL CA. HE CAME OVER FOR AN ASSEMBLY THAT WE HAD FOR RED RIBBON WEEK. HE TALKED ABOUT HIS EXPERIENCE IN THE X GAMES AND MUCH MORE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS GUY IS A LEGEND AND I HAD SO MUCH FUN MEETING HIM.
@ERNYTROUBLE I rode his board back in the day, saw Jim at Unvailed contest. he came up to me and asked how I liked it the board. He was really cool. i asked for a picture and he said no problem then waited for five min for my buddy to get back so we could both be in the shot. (my Rippey was stolen that weekend! death to those who steal boards!)
i have that ? board n e buyers i can do ebayy nothing wrong wit itt=))ouija burton facebook me eric kidder or comment back on here snow shops have the board on the walls in i can sell it low
@longjohnsilvero9 The flailing is called style. Riders in the nineties had it. We don't need it today because our gloves and backpacks match our hot pink boards and we look so awesome we don't even have to ride. That was a run-on sentence. FUCK, who stole my Monster Energy Drink that I love so much I had to put a big green fucking M on the back window of my car. Do these goggles go with my bindings?
@frostedfunks come on admit it early snowboard moves were a bit.. lol, kinda like 90's dance moves too. Looks like those 90's riders were leaning on their back foot way more than these days too, weird ^^

@frostedfunks Lmao yea man. these dudes r some of the OGs foreal. But honestly flailing continued into like 2002 2003 when boards started getting softer.

what year did people stop flailing?
longjohnsilvero9 2 years ago
are you serious!? Do you have any idea how new of a sport snowboarding is?
in the early 90's it was still banned from many ski resorts.
These riders are essentially snowboard pioneers.
