  • hey does ginger ale work at all?

  • MAHAHAHA IT'S AN ORGY OF DEATH! >:D

Seriously though... I've been living with those little buggers for years now... EVEN WHEN WE MOVE.

    So this would be nice.

  • Where do you find apple vinegar... I didn't see it with the vinegar in Superstore :(

  • @fl333r it's Apple Cider Vinegar not just apple vinegar because its made from Apple Cider. It's actually very common. If you see a brown vinegar in an average supermarket, it's most likely Apple Cider Vinegar. Most other vinegars are white or really dark(like balsamic).

  • @Chemeleon15 Thanks... just bought some 2 days ago.

But it doesn't work for some reason... only caught one so far. :(

I put soap in as well and also saran wrap... but it only caught 1 in two days so what happened?

I used a deep dish the first time, now I switched it to a plastic cup. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  • is there any other thing i can use besides apple cider vinegar

  • Cool. Definitely going to try this in the summer.

  • yeah and it also helps to locate and remove the source. otherwise this process here can keep going on and on. I service a bar and found the source in the cracks of the floor underneath some floor mats behind the bar. also their reservoir at the beer pumps wasn't thoroughly cleaned. So yes this can help but most of the time if you first don't remove the source you can be doing this for sometime.

  • @Zankeyer

no, houseflies are not attracted by vinegar

  • @Zankeyer I've never heard of it working on house flies, they're attracted to more smelly things. If you want to get rid of houseflies---I've found those cheap electric flyswatters to be very effective. For outdoor areas, just hang a ziploc bag filled with water and a few pennies. drives them away better than anything else I've tried.

  • OMGEE I could jave used this info over the summer

  • Thank you!

  • thats nice trick, i can wait to try this out today. pita doesnt give a rats ass about animal rights, they are like democrats, they only want the job of caring.

  • DRINK IT!

  • I tried regular vinegar and it did not work, so its off to buy some apple cider vinegar..

  • I don't want to sound rude or like I don't care but, who the hell in their right freakin' mind gives a shit about the feelings of a fruit fly?

  • if you dont have it, can you just mix white vinegar with apple juice?

  • aaaaah!!!! this is so helpful. THANKYOU. my poor cockatiel keeps getting bugged by these little pests! and now he doesnt have to be bugged anymore! :D

  • Thank you sir!

  • Also pour boiling water or bleach down your drains where they lay eggs

  • @junkyturd Thanks! I'll add that to the regimine.

  • Thank you!

  • thank u

  • Thanks so much! Awesome tip!

  • @Vivi21Luv You're very welcome!

  • Cool, wish I saw this when I lived in Canada. =) Thanks

  • Does regular vinegar work like the apple cider vinegar?

  • @Cathrine19851 Regular vinegar won't be as effective as it's the apple/fruit they are attracted to but it should still work.

  • @Cathrine19851 I don't have apple vinegar, but I mix some brown sugar and vinegar, still works really good :P You can also mix vinegar and some I don't know apple juice?

  • I do not live in America..pls tell me what is saran cling plus or how to replace it, thank you..

  • @SriMayapurDiary it's just plastic wrap, streachy stuff

  • I use the soap and i leave it un-covered and it works great

  • thx bud!!

  • thanks so much! the other ways i've killed them they're back full force by the next day

  • @lonelymeiam Your Welcome! They are persistant but this usually does the trick.

  • Great - thanks for sharing!
