i can make all my videos widescreen just with one click on windows live movie maker, which is free just thought id tell someone

I have a high quality camera that is 480p but it is in 4:9. When i make my videos HD i always have to reformat the aspect ratio to 16:9.

An upload that get squashed to 4:3 can now be saved, just add yt:stretch=16:9 to the video tags. From youtube help: (Google Help › YouTube Help › Uploading › Editing Videos › Formatting tags) yt:crop=16:9 (zooms in on the 16:9 area, removes windowboxing) yt:stretch=16:9 (fixes anamorphic content by scaling to 16:9) yt:stretch=4:3 (fixes 720x480 content that is the wrong aspect ratio by scaling to 4:3) yt:quality=high (default to a high quality stream, depending on availability)

16:9 is diferent of 4:3, I can't understand the logic in that...

4 = Width

3 = Height

4x4 = 16

4x3 = 9

Therefore, 16:9 is wider than 4:3 due to three being multiplied with a smaller number than four.

See it this way. 4:3 is the old near square TV format, it's nothing about size, just the aspect ratio.

As for it's relation to 16:9, 16: 9 is 33% wider than 4:3, (to see this, you can multiply both sides of the 4:3 aspect by 3, and get 12:9, the aspect is the same)

just use windows movie maker....render the video...in 1280x720...if you cant figure it out when you click publish name your movie then cclick next...then click more setting bubble and choose windows media HD 720p. hence 1280.720

i think 1080p works too but i havnt tried it im sure it does but idk.
