what the hell was that about?

    complete waste of time!

thumbs up for the art but for the heart?? no point at all!

  • 若干カットしてある?

  • Out of the three productions by Makoto Shinkai, I find this the most confusing. But still, it is a great masterpiece. Keep up, Makoto-kun!

  • この数日で、新海ワールドにどっぷり浸かりました。

    心の底から、出会えてよかった。

  • omg my annoying sister is totally ruining the moment

  • I'm slightly confused, when there was 2 of her, was she dreaming? And if so, how did the guy see her? Was that his dream connecting with hers? Hmmm...

  • @grimsquire Yes, there are two figures that we speak of. One awake and one dreaming. From what I understand, the dreaming Sayuri could only see Hiroki due to the parallel universe being dependent on her brain activity. All though the "dreaming" world was not real, Sayuri could still see Hiroki due to her feelings for him, allowing her brain to see him through the parallel universe.

  • @SlightlyRaisedEyebro I see, that really adds to the effect of the moral! thanks

  • yeah!! happy ending!

  • @snowyc

Yes, I was thinking it might be an ending like 5 centimeters per second luckily it wasn't. This ending is very beautiful, especially when they explained what they were going to lose I was like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

  • some one... please explain to me...

  • @kenseisato1989

All you need to know is they live happily ever after. =D

  • @jvn09211

lol its true that part i got lol

  • @kenseisato1989 I just received a huge shock. I just read the summary of this movie because I was going to explain to someone the plot because they didn't understand.

While I was reading I saw something I should of never read.

The reason why when she was crying when she woke up was because she knew that she will "lose" something when she wakes up. I original thought it was "the promised place". But the summary said she cried because "unknowingly she lost the memory of her love for Hiroki" WTF

  • @jvn09211

    yea i know that but.

i just didn't understand it so well..

ohh man i don't eaven remember half of the movie anyways now all well

  • a very good movie.. the place where they wanted most to be, is also the place where they will start a new life...

  • AMAZING!

Just watched "5 Centimeters per Second" before and loved it.

That ass Makoto Shinkai just knows how to create great anime.

Next I want to watch his anime "Voices of a Distant Star"

  • That was a fantastic movie.

    Very well done.

I'm just wondering, how did they avoid the combat zone that was still active.

It would stink to end the movie with a stray missile hit into that plane. :-)

  • what can you expect from makoto shinkai??

from voices of a distant star, a place promised in our early days and 5 centimeters per second...

  • Great quality.. nice movie.. it's moves me.. we shud keep promise

  • ThnXXX 4sharing! ^_^

  • just amazing. i cant think of any other words to s=describe it. thank you so much for the upload

  • Oh my good, my home town Memuto have destroyed by the pollution! ちゃんとなおしてね

  • さすが新海さん

  • Hokkaido is gone....

  • really beautiful and nostalgic ..thanks for the upload ^.^

  • We may never realize our mistakes on a scale that will be influential but this movie is proof that some people out there understand .

  • this a really good movie!

  • Great upload, way better than the other versions of this movie. cheers!

  • thx for the upload. and that was what i call great quality indeed, that was a good idea of yours to repost this movie.

the story was very moving, but this is so Makoto Shinkai-like, the way he manages to create emotional moments with so few elements.i think it's because he relies a lot on hope, a notion/virtue he tried to develop in his previous works, even in "she and her cat" ! makoto shinkai's catchphrase: "i think, i like this beautiful world"

  • beautiful. it really brought a couple of tears.

  • Searching for hope in times of turmoil

I just love this story! It's Science fiction with lots of emotion.

The most important thing we are so afraid to lose is our feelings...war and violence, that shouldn't be our priorities.

  • I agree!
