I love this one because it felt veryy much lika a survival horror horror which is what it portrays. Also the fights are good and the characters are done so well. Milla and Sienna so fucking HOT and BADASS
I was thinking that maybe there was contaminated runoff water from somewhere...but that wouldn't explain them being able to fight out of a coffin and through several feet of dirt. Plus the coffins would isolate the corpse from the water. Ah well. Still an awesome movie.
@lugialover09 sorry for my late reply but since they are zombies, they probably don't feel any pain so they just crawl outta there in one way or another... and remember in th first movie when they go underground in some kind of secret base? maybe some of the gases reached the coffins...
Guys please watch this video is about the events leading to Resident evil: Retribution with the best scenes of the previews movies, its in 2 parts here i give you the link for part 1 and i'll upload the part 2 when its done.
i KNOW THEY'RE PURPOSE WAS TO ENTERTAIN, BUT I THINK IT WOULD'VE BEEN EVEN MORE ENTERTAINING IF THEY WOULD'VE STUCK WITH THE GAMES, STARTING WITH JILL AT THE MANSION...IT WOULD'VE BEEN EPIC
Sure, corpses under six feet of dirt, a casket, cut tendons and drained blood somehow manage to not only come back to life, but get infected and dig their way through their graves.
Just an fyi, the T-virus only works by pretty much taking over an already living body. Those bodies have been dead for days/weeks/months/longer.
@BeamYosho Nope. The T-virus can also reanimate already-dead people, in Resident Evil 3 and Code Veronica they had zombies coming out of graves even though some of the people died years before the outbreak.
@B0bSag3tt because when they are reanimated there brain is only working on the basic of instiince to feed plus theres bioengineering instince that is telling them to spread the virus and take over humanity
Are all the zombies in this movie real people? But trained to act like zombies? They're awesome at doing it if they're real people. Are they real people, or a dummy?
In the first movie, I believe it said that the T-virus was air born down in the lab, which is why she cut off the oxygen and killed everyone down there. If that's so, then it pertains to this movie. The T-Virus is on a minimal level of being air-born, and must have infected the dead, bringing them to life. o___o;
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the world of Resident Evil and the music of Masami Ueda and other RE composers. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
This scene makes no sense. The only way I can think of the T-virus infecting a buried copse would be if an infected's blood somehow made it through the soil. Even that would be a long stretch. On top of that the t-virus would have to infect a fresh corpse due to the the body's rate of decomposition. In the event that both of these conditions were met the zombie would need the strength to break through its coffin and several feet of soil.
I remember how much I laughed my ass off when she did that final kick to that zombie 2:10. I think this is the first movie that was done very bad purposely, that was supposed to be entertaining somehow wasn't meant to be taken seriously. And I was entertained, I laughed of how bad the whole movie was, I loved the sound effects and some scenes.
Oh my god, this movie and all those lame swinging sounds is a true disgrace to the Resident Evil games!!!!!!!! DISGRACE!!! What a bunch of bullshit! The only good thing about the entire Resident Evil movie series including Afterlife is this: The laser cutting scene from the first movie and Jill Valentine from the second movie. The rest is fucking CRAP! Especially Alice. As people can see, this pisses me off.
I love how shambling corpses, with zero coordination and average human strength can claw their way out of sealed metallic coffins and six feet of earth. lol
I CANT WAIT TO SEE JILL VS ALICE TILL THE NEXT MOVE MAYBE RESIDENT EVIL:RESURRECTION OR RESIDENT EVIL:RISE OF THE JILL VALENTINE!
ps this is my ideas of the next resident evil movies and i dont know if they can port them in the future i just hope they come ture dont you guys think so.
One thing i never got about this scene, according to the movie the virus could reanimate a body via blood transfusion, air, liquid and direct infection(scratch or bite), how the hell did dead corpses under ground get infected?
take a walk in a grave yard during a zombie Apocalypse what a smart idea. i like this movie tho i like all the resident evil movies. mostly for alice. milla jovovich is such an amazing actress
Paul Anderson ruined his own rules here. In the original, the T-Virus stopped being airborn which is why the team didnt get infected that way. The only thing close to an explanation is that a scientist dumped buckets and buckets of t virus so it leaked through the ground into the coffins infected the corpses. But in the first film, the Red Queen says that the T-Virus can only infect someone and make them undead only when a living person is infected. But who cares, lets enjoy the scene!
@HeavenlySleven true, true, but still. All it is trying to accomplish is entertained, and i was entertained. Now if it was meant to be something spectacular like Avatar, i would analyze it to its very soul.
so they just dug underground, opened the coffin, just to take one bite. its a movie mistake. in the first one, the red queen says that only living things can be exposed to the t virus.....also, in this movie, the virus travels by air too, but in the first film, the liquid conversion to airborne was too fast than n this one and it was evaporated from the air so....yeah.....
one of my favourite fucking scenes

I'd have to say, it was the earth worms. Somehow. Maybe a zombie bit one in half, and it ate its friends. Or, maybe something like moles.

the T-virus can reanimate dead cells but i don't find any explanation how those corpses got infected...
