'prince of persia' was not created by Ubisoft. it was created by Jordan Mechner and published by Broderbund in 1989. ubisoft remade it in 2003.

Well in my opinion the AC series is doing quiet well currently. The first game might have been repetitive, but I was in for the story, rather than what missions I got. Final Fantasy VII, a HUGE smash hit, is just as slow, if not slower than AC... ;L Point being that the AC series is extremely successful at bringing out an original idea of complete free roaming and great story through a small idea that you say is repetitive. Personally I'm waiting for AC:R ;P

one of my favorite things about ubisoft, is they learn from their mistakes, and then correct them in their next game. the first assassins creed people complained about the repetiveness, in ACII it was very unrepetitive, and they kept the good. in AC brotherhood they kept the good and threw out any bad.
