Matthew is completely mesmerized by his son. Did you see when Bo came to sit down next to him to talk to him he turned to Bo answered him and was very eager to return his attention to Des and his son but since Bo had more to say he had to turn and look at him again....I knew that would happen.

I cannot stop watching this episode, I'm so glad that oltl actually showed Destiny having the baby, and Matthew is right there with her, I'm going to miss them so much....... Shenell acting has gotten so much better, they did such a wonderful job, hopefully we'll see them acting in other shows......

Destiny and Matthew were the best young couple and couple they had on the show! 6 MONTHS R U KIDDING ME he was in that coma and after that they were only shown a handful of times; furthermore the final week of the show they were shown Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! They deserved more storylines! I agree with RockAngel ABC SUCKS 4 NOT GIVING THEM MORE AIR TIME AND 4 GOING OFF THE AIR!

i can not seem to stop watching this clip.. i have always been matthew and destiny fan..i know the were in love just too young to express it. i know they ended up together. the love is implied he did not have to say it just look at how he looks and reacts to her
@tawanaty I agree. The scenes at the hospital were especially telling with the way he looked at her. It was also in the way he went off on his mom, it was all about him being upset that he couldn't protect her. They end up together, Bo referred to Destiny and the baby as family before the baby was born and Nora called the three of them the next generation of Buchanans. I just wish we would be able to see it all happen.

@tychi87 Drew was/is Bo's son by Becky Lee. Drew was a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. I was extremely pissed when Drew died. I didn't watch OLTL for years after that.
@RedSonja92 The other significance to the name Drew is that Nora (believing Bo to be infertile) tried to get pregnant by Sam Rappaport and pass the baby off as Bo's. That baby was Matthew. The tests saying Bo was infertile were wrong and it was later shown Matthew was Bo's. So, Drew's death is the reason Matthew exists.

I would have loved to see more affection between them to make me say yes these two are a couple, but I didn't get that here. I've honestly lost track of how many times I've watched this, but I have cried every time. Every. Time. ♥ The Matthew and Destiny story was the only thing that interested me about OLTL in the last three years, and I wish Eddie Alderson and Shenell Edmonds all the best in the future.
I really wish they didn't cut off the birth abruptly at 3:21..I wanted to hear Vivian say she's pulling the baby out, and we hear the baby crying while Destiny's head hits the couch with a sigh of relief and Matthew telling her she did amazing while he's softly petting her hair. Then Destiny looks deeply into Matthews eyes and says "Thank You, Matthew", while he looks at her, chokes up and says "Thank YOU, Destiny" or something like that. Ugh! Oh the possibilities!
It would've been PERFECT if Matthew said the reason he came was because he cares about her more than anything and that he thought of all the times that she has been there for him: like they could've had a scene with him by himself at home thinking and a montage of him and Destiny from the last 2 years played through his head, which prompt him to join Destiny. Also, I REALLY wish Matt&Des's last scene together was filmed with only them & the baby..and he could've told her that he loves her 2 :-)

Too funny. I was 26 when I had my first baby & she took 10 hours & they finally had to use forceps. My son was 12 hours & the doctor wanted to do a C-section. My girlfriend had a baby in 20 mins & had the nerve to say I didn't have natural childbirth because they gave me pain meds. PLEASE they could have hit me in the head with a 2X4 & I would have thanked them profusely before I passed out. Too bad RC never realized who his largest group of viewers were and apparently he still doesn't. Too bad.

I love how proud Bo and Nora are that Matthew finally stepped up. I love that David got to be the hero. I love how the families are so connected already. Most of all I love the outstanding acting job Eddie Alderson and Shenell Edmonds did. I'll miss them.
@timtakeya55 i'm so use to mixed kids being light skinned because all of my brothers kids are mixed and light skinned. You kind of forget that there are mixed kids that are dark skiined.
I've given birth and let me tell you, SE gave a VERY realistic portrayal here. It felt like it was actually happening. Labor is painful - like you're body is being ripped in two. After my epi wore off in the last 10 minutes of giving birth, I screamed bloody murder too - just like Destiny did. Again, it looked so real! I will miss Matthew and Destiny so much. So effing much!
I wish there was another show made of Oltl like GH nightshift that came out a few yrs back where they show like 1 or 2 new episodes a week during the nighttime. The night version of a show is usual better than the real thing!

This was the best episode of Mestiny and I was so proud of Matthew today. he had tears running down his face as he told his son, Happy Birthday Drew, I was crying right along with him. I am so glad they got their happy ending. Thanks OLTL for doing this couple right in the end.
Matthew (Eddie) crying after they named him was such an awesome moment! I will especially miss Eddie as a superb actor that was so believable in every scene he was in.

So, having Matt tell her that gave her an out cause he was supposed to love her but she did not love him. it was still stupid.

Maybe Matthew only sees Destiny as a friend you know. I do believe that Matthew cares about Destiny, but I'am not convinced that he is in love with her.

I love the name! Wen Nora was pregnant she askd Bo if he wanted to name the baby Drew and he said NO bcuz the death was so fresh and it hurt too much. So now THAT baby Matthew has a son, the name Drew is PERFECT
I love how life was brought into Asa's house and i love that BOTH families were there together!!
Im happy with the BUCHANAN/ EVANS ending!

I will pass seeing how RC is now writing for GH. He does NOT have a damn clue what will bring views to GH, he killed OLTL. In addition I stopped watching GH years ago. I will not watch GH again after what Jason did to Keesha Ward.

@tawanaty I agree. The scenes at the hospital were especially telling with the way he looked at her. It was also in the way he went off on his mom, it was all about him being upset that he couldn't protect her. They end up together, Bo referred to Destiny and the baby as family before the baby was born and Nora called the three of them the next generation of Buchanans. I just wish we would be able to see it all happen.

Glad he told her that her and the baby was important. At the end of the day he stepped up n was by her side n told her she matters. N since the show canceled I guess we gotta leave da rest to the imagination. N I imagine them being happily in love. @tychi87 Drew was/is Bo's son by Becky Lee. Drew was a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. I was extremely pissed when Drew died. I didn't watch OLTL for years after that.

@RedSonja92 The other significance to the name Drew is that Nora (believing Bo to be infertile) tried to get pregnant by Sam Rappaport and pass the baby off as Bo's. That baby was Matthew. The tests saying Bo was infertile were wrong and it was later shown Matthew was Bo's. So, Drew's death is the reason Matthew exists.

I would have loved to see more affection between them to make me say yes these two are a couple, but I didn't get that here. I really wish they didn't cut off the birth abruptly at 3:21..I wanted to hear Vivian say she's pulling the baby out, and we hear the baby crying while Destiny's head hits the couch with a sigh of relief and Matthew telling her she did amazing while he's softly petting her hair. Then Destiny looks deeply into Matthews eyes and says "Thank You, Matthew", while he looks at her, chokes up and says "Thank YOU, Destiny" or something like that. Ugh! Oh the possibilities!

It would've been PERFECT if Matthew said the reason he came was because he cares about her more than anything and that he thought of all the times that she has been there for him: like they could've had a scene with him by himself at home thinking and a montage of him and Destiny from the last 2 years played through his head, which prompt him to join Destiny. Also, I REALLY wish Matt&Des's last scene together was filmed with only them & the baby..and he could've told her that he loves her 2 :-)

Too funny. I was 26 when I had my first baby & she took 10 hours & they finally had to use forceps. My son was 12 hours & the doctor wanted to do a C-section. My girlfriend had a baby in 20 mins & had the nerve to say I didn't have natural childbirth because they gave me pain meds. PLEASE they could have hit me in the head with a 2X4 & I would have thanked them profusely before I passed out. Too bad RC never realized who his largest group of viewers were and apparently he still doesn't. Too bad.

I've given birth and let me tell you, SE gave a VERY realistic portrayal here. It felt like it was actually happening. Labor is painful - like you're body is being ripped in two. After my epi wore off in the last 10 minutes of giving birth, I screamed bloody murder too - just like Destiny did. Again, it looked so real! I will miss Matthew and Destiny so much. So effing much!

But I guess we just have to accept him being there for the bith of his son, and holding Destiny's hand the whole time and supporting her. I honestly believe that Matt's "I love you" to Dani was just used to put the final nail in their relationship's coffin because we can tell she was already feeling Nate but technically she was still dating Matt. So, having Matt tell her that gave her an out cause he was supposed to love her but she did not love him. it was still stupid.
