I've dropped my iPhone 4 many, many times on gravel, marble floors, carpet etc. and never broke it, and have the cover that you get from apple for free that doesn't even cover the headphone jack side and the bottom side. I think I just get lucky everytime!

Thts crap u dnt need a case tht big n heavy 2 protect ur phone. I've had an iPhone since the 3g came out(long time) & every 1 of them (I'm have the 4s now) had the "tough" case from Case Mate. It's a 2 part case rubber sleeve with hard silicon 2go on top. I've literally dropped it out of my car (i have an expedition, big truck) by accident while driving like 20mph and it was completely fine not a scratch on it, even the case was fine with a few light scrapes not even noticeable

I have been using otterbox for a while now, and I have tested it lots....on purpose and not. They are good cases. However, Mine has more plastic on the top around the speaker, camera, and sensors. I pushed that plastic out because it just got covered in dirt, and you cant clean it. The clip is a piece of junk, and I dont use as they just break easily.
