  • I would love to watch and meet this man someday! Such a smart Young man.

  • John Young is a legend!

  • The day will come too soon when all the moonwalkers will be dead. 3 have gone already. What a depressing thought.

  • @luk1954 I suspect that will never occur. In other words, somebody else will walk on the moon before the last of the Apollo moonwalkers are gone. Probably the Chinese and hopefully they will not end their moon program after only a few years; as the U.S. did.

  • I honestly hope not to be around anymore when that happens:-(

  • John Young sees that crystal clear. What a hero...I would so like to meet him one day.Moonwalker...thats the biggest achievement you can reach.

  • @stevehislop I gave your comment a thumbs up as overall I agree with you; however, moonwalker is NOT the biggest achievement one can reach. There are other things such as saving a child's life.

  • @Scottrchrdsn I just related that from a career point of view. I´m a father of two boy´s, so I know what you mean.

  • @Scottrchrdsn That is insignifigant compared to walking on the moon.

  • @monokhem Saving a child's life is insignificant to walking on the moon??? I hope that is NOT what you meant. I hope your sense of values is more developed.

  • @Scottrchrdsn Saving a thousand childrens' lives is insignifigant compared to walking on the Moon. A million lives are not even close to the value of learning to fly to and land on another heavenly body. One of these things will save earth, the other has no importance to the continuation of the species, much less all life on Earth.

My sense of values is highly developed. I suggest you do some work on yours.

  • @monokhem Your sense of values are indeed highly developed; that is, developed in the way the Nazis developed.

  • @Scottrchrdsn Really, compare me to the NAZI's because I won't share some assertion that something that imeasurably benefits all of mankind for generations has less signifigance than saving one life. Your absolutism is almost as childish as your rhetorical tactics. I suppose Pasteur would have been better to save "a childs life".

Astronomical research has saved thousands of childrens lives indirectly if not millions or possible future billions, but you don't care. You have your simple answere.

  • This is the TRUE climate change, folks. Forget Al Gore's hocus-pocus.

Suffer two Pinatubo eruptions within two years of each other and global warming would come in very handy. Get used to the fact that we're in an ice age right now!

  • Agreed.
