I think there is a really funny thing going on with cypress hill. They are seen as important rap/hiphop act. While by themself they aren't bound by the rap/hiphop scene and are able to show punks into their video's. It might be that cypress did grew up with hardcore (punk) too actually they always have been really close genres of music and the same goes for the lifestyles. Both from the streets and born from struggle. Do you get what I mean?
