There's plenty of great music out there, you just have to LOOK for it. Don't just look on the pop charts. Look everywhere, try different things, and don't be afraid to like something just because it's "unpopular" or "cool to hate". There's far more music than Lady Gaga stuff. I used to think all modern music was just pop crap. Then I actually LOOKED, and now my top favorites are modern. It's there, you just have to do some digging.
