i think you need to meet my uncle enrique...where do you live?? my uncle knew jimi since he was thirteen and been to every last tour that he has had except for the one in Berkley...he wants to meet you
i think you should give me a call....1718 440 1404..my uncle was jimis best friend and i would love to invite you over to his house in new york and have you guys discuss music...it really blew his mind when hendrix died because they were so close and if he was to see you play<he"ll be in awe...plz call enrique...and i love ur style...peace to you
@originalname33 i remember and interview with jeff beck where he said hendrix had told beck he was playing on rubber bands! at the time jeff beck was using 8s, im guessing hendrix used 10s or something, who knows
it s nice to see another left-handed person who lives for jimi hendrix as much as i do.i have a squier affinity strat that ive swapped over.youve got a really good interpretation of the man's style there!
Hi Enrique. Good stuff as usual. Just a gear question: is that Univibe that's giving that kind of flange sound? Otherwise, do you get the saturation by craking up a Marshall or do you use any good pedal worth knowing of?
@jimicolors : Hola Enrique. Muchas gracias por tu respuesta. Interesting to know the gear you use. The chorus gives an interesting Univibe simulation. Keep on rocking! Cheers, Marc
Shit, about 2 min into the video I thought this WAS Jimi!!!! I swear!! Then Im saying no the playing is just not there. Jimi on a bad day maybe. But yoiu know as well as I do NOBODY can sound exactly or even play just like JIMI! peace.
Great playing! Jimi loved the open strings voices, the thumb bass, the trem arm and the pentatonic! Although here, unlike the band sessions, you sound more Robin Trower but this is a gear setup I guess!
whats that chord you play at 1:04-1:08, then again at 1:14? i cant pick up the fingering there. sounds amazing tho
