UTG M324 airsoft is 450 FPS MINIMUM WITH .23 BBs. I JUST BOUGHT MINE NEW! NOT MODDED. its not 330 fps at first it is 450-480 when you buy it factory new. gen5.

Just a heads up, this is an airsoft gun.. lemme say again, an AIRSOFT gun..

It shoots plastic BB's.. Most airsoft guns shoot in excess of 250 fps, some reaching the 500 range..

Only if you don't miss and the other people don't have fully auto gas or electric powered guns like most of us do. I got a gas r700 that fires the pellets at around 390 fps. Not to mention I don't have to pull a lever back every time I want to fire.

depends on your still. You want to be sneaky and all stealth taking down you enemies with one shot, go for the L96, but if you want to be able to suppress the enemy and intimidate them go for the 249. Its not very accurate but you can acquire accuracy with volume of fire. And if you want even more accuracy you can buy a tight bore barrel for the 249. You'll see the difference.

I think it cant hurt more than paintball since the paintball is bigger thus it delivers more kinetic energy on impact. But, a bb can penetrate your skin and its really really painful. Everything depends on the distance and fps.

I play in my friends woods with about 7 other people and I hit people at 60 feet though dense brush. Visibility was bad but if you use the rings as a sight and adjust a little, you can be pretty accurate.

a utg mk96 is the best for about $120-140, it is bolt action because a semi-auto is over $200 and no airsoft usually at walmart or target but kmart usually has some crappy guns and some bb's for ammo

L96 isnt loading after every shot, it's bolt action. bolt action is the best type of sniper function.. youre not ganna find these at your local wal mart either, try shorty usa. com. i think the UTG l96 IS the best sniper rifle

the hurricane m82 is farr better than the utg l96, but the thing is the hurricane m82 is an m16 with an external conversion kit and completely upgraded internals and you're comparing it to a stock spring gun, so yes no competition, but if there was, it wouldn't be fair competition.
