  • well uhh... so nothing. what a dumbass. what am i watching?

  • :soo... so uh nothin"

  • hahahah this explains why he was goofing around so much with his other i'm assuming spare motherboard before

  • bull shit i can make it get staticy.....

  • @fasdfuf69 lol

  • When I was a kid always thought the motherboard was acity for leprechauns

  • Real smooth.good video

  • how is the anti static bag nothing without that the motherboard could mess up from static

  • what if l run linux ubuntu?

  • @DaveTube24 Then you don't know what a computer is.

  • I HAVE BIG PROBLEM I NEED URGENT HELP I consolidated the motherboard and other parts and run and nothing to light KNOW IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE LET SOLUTION say THANK YOU in advance!

  • Jesus, after reading these comments im afraid to build my PC :P.

  • Make sure when working with the motherboard that you set it down on the anti-static bag, and always, ALWAYS grab the motherboard either from the edges, you want to avoid touching the circuitry at all costs. And fremag, you don't need an antistatic bracelet, just make sure that you stay grounded, which is easily done by touching any metal

  • @Basedude94 actually it's bad to set it on the anti-static bag, because the anti-static bag is only anti-static on the inside, you would be fine setting it down on the cardboard box it came in.

  • Note: use a Antistatic bracelet, its not to much shit thats gonna go down, but if it goes down, major hit goes down.

  • 2:05

Nah, it ain't beautiful. Look at those pink RAM slots. Ew, gay.

    jk

  • Will a PCI Express network card work in a PCI slot?

  • Comment removed

  • Did we need a graphics card??

  • @THECODER95 No his Motherboard has integrated graphics...

  • @MediocreNinjaStudios loooooooooooool

  • @MediocreNinjaStudios You just made the rest of my day sir. This made me literally rofl.

  • i used a blender to build mine is that why it doesn't work?

  • this motherboard comes in a anti-static bag..... so.... nothing....

  • wow he even gives us a tutorial on how to close a box :O

  • the anti static bag is so u dont get zpped by the mother board and destroying the mother board

  • Lol he never talked about the heat sink in what to get

  • I want moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @mediocreNinjaStudios that's hilarious LOL!

  • I found a way better explanation that is easier to read and is more straight forward at

  • That's a nice little city! That looks like where Osama Bin Laden lived! see the courtyard!

  • @MediocreNinjaStudios Yes, your comportor is wasted. :)

  • i use to remember that capacitor in mainboard look like water tower

and those small seizure as people houses . lol

  • no that is a box not a MB the mb is inside the box..

  • Wow, that motherboard is pretty. xD

  • he forgot to mention get rid of any static on ur hands by touching grounded metal like your steel computer case

  • Just a question i've wondered in a long time, if you have want to updrage you graphics card let's say to Radeon HD 6990 can you do it with any motherboard or it must meet some requiems?

  • am i the only one that pronounces it sae-ta instead of sa-ta, and if so am i wrong

  • @runar5959 FUCK

  • eeeeekkkkk ESD where is you ESD bracelet mister!!!! and that doesn't look so beautiful man... and plz call that thing your pointing at a north bridge... O dont use the CD better updates for it online FYI

  • i like how you are passionate about computing.. cute!!! thanks for explaining the details too!!

  • Amazing! ..a battery that stores BIOS information and keeps track of the time! You will become a millionaire with that one, if you market it right.

  • IDE=fail

  • This bag that it comes in is an anti-static bag so uh... well, so nothing lol

    Nice tutorial!

  • You forgot to mention The ram -_- Now We all going to die D:

  • so ah, so nothing.

  • dam motherborads looked like crap in 2008

  • i am abig computer geek

    i can fix computers

i can build a computer from scratch

i love any thing that has to do with computers

my faviort brand of computers is hp

  • @NoriesW I build and doing other computers. But i dont like thoses hp, dells, etc. I never trust them

  • for 1 its called a i/o sheild

for 2 the antistatic bag is verry important so everything

for 3 always download the latest motherbourd drivers from the site

for forth you gave the least amount of information about the bourd ive ever seen in a youtube video lol

these are for any cards . all these slots lol ty

  • Thats a shit motherboard.

  • @PregnantFox vid is 2 years old?

  • wow the motherboard is a piece of crap but how much money would you spend on a computer

  • @snippa1ps3 well he made the vid in 2008....back then that motherboard should have been good enough

  • Comment removed

  • @snippa1ps3 @snippa1ps3 Look at you, trying to look knowledgeable by repeating the same thing people have been saying over and over. This was made two years ago, corse it isn't going to be good by todays standards.

  • lol, integraded graphics, this vid is OLD.

  • @dyjendo262 it is old but not judgementing on integrated graphic because i have lateset gygabyte motherboard and it has graphic integrated

  • Comment removed

  • @pero1000000000 please learn more about computers before correcting people on youtube about their computer related comments.

  • if anybody says anything bad about this guy's tutorials they're faggots. This guy spent a ton of time helping thousands of people out so shut up.

  • @iam23years3old I don't see the need for homophobic slurs to defend anyone. Way to be a douchebag.

  • 2:04 Well...Actually it's not beautiful. Kim Kardashian is.....

  • 10 people own laptops

  • It's like christmas all over again =)

  • '''Here is our dark Mother'' Haha

  • Nice tutorial for beginners but FSB is not a northbridge and battery doesn't store BIOS information :)

  • he spend a lot of money for a tutorial and the tutorial is for us... he is so kind man....

  • Prolly should have included a GPU video mate.

  • Most people building a computer are doing it for one reason.... Gaming and there is no mention of a GPU in the hardware section of this tutorial. Integrated graphics are terrible never would I buy a cheap motherboard like this.

  • Advice: always keep all parts that come with your parts. I keep my stuff in a bag it has like 2 old keyboards, mice, parts for my motherboard, things that came with my VGA (crossfire adapter, etc.), and like 100 driver CDs.

  • @struggle375 Look at the sockets... AMD Socket AM3 or something like that...

  • how do i know which processor is compatible with my motherboard?

  • @struggle375 Watch the full series.

  • @struggle375 You have to check the sockets

    AMD: Socket AM2, Socket AM3

    Intel: LGA 1156, LGA 1366

    Or something like that

  • can you take apart an old computer and put it back together? Because that would be great for practice.

  • red mother boards are best

  • i like computer chips.

they remind my of little cities. =-)

  • @xxVxLCxMxx My nephew said that. He also said the thick wires, like the SATA cord, are like roller coasters.

  • @xxVxLCxMxx knew i wasnt the only one!

  • @xSteZ haha yeah

  • @xxVxLCxMxx yes and when viruses get in the "LITTLE CITY THEY DESTROY IT

  • very good !

  • where is the HD link?

  • Big ass capacitors

  • ur board is sh*t

  • @099psp u realize this was in 08 right

  • @002234897 08 boards were much more better than this sh*t

  • @099psp He's doing a tut. you idiot...sheesh.

  • All these sluts.. haha!

  • 2dollar tour of the motherboard lmao!

  • i got a error that was going to be fixed by a high intellegence team of monkeys ! xD

  • The Motherboard is like the human brain. The CPU being the pineal gland.

  • @iMadeYouMad i would think the cpu is the brain and the nerves are the motherboard :)

  • @masik7290 That makes more sense.

  • i haz the maximus 3 gene... so sexy :D

  • hey bro, i dont think you wanna be installing the drivers straight from the disk. they're usually out-dated by the time you get the mobo from the store. i usually go online and download the latest drivers. just sayin'. made that mistake with my GeForce 8400GS. installed the drivers straight from the CD and it reverted my windows GUI to Windows 95-style graphics. lame. uninstalled the drivers i'd installed, went to the website and downloaded the updated ones and problem solved.

  • Wait... wheres How to Build a computer - video card? i didnt find it :s

  • @7001shadow Well.. it's pretty much pop in the pci express slot install drivers

  • "a $2 tour" ???

  • Wheres the video card? There wasnt any video about the video card or maybe i missed it. 1perhaps its not required in order for a computer to function?

  • @kohdez wasn't it already integrated on the motherboad?? I'm pretty sure it is.

  • @ZR1Terror ohh yeah i didnt think of that too, but its probably some crappy one, he'll probably sell the computer

  • IDE. LOL old.

  • @Quasax100 ur face is old

  • Sorry but i have to ask this but, can u still get that mother board and all the other components that suit it now or are there new parts. Id like to build a computer myself but not sure if i can get all them parts in Ireland. Any and all help would be apreciated thanks. Youre vids are very insightfull and in great detail well done and keep it up.

  • I don't think he truly understands computer parts enough to make a legitimate tutorial. I mean, it's a great thing for beginners, but if you can't even name certain parts and or you don't know what they're for why bother? 1. The "hard drive" cable is an IDE cable. That's not the only hard drive cable there is. 2. The anti-static bag isn't "nothing", it's so that the board doesn't get shocked. 3. That little plastic thing is not a plug nor does it "plug in", it's an I/O shield. Get it right.

  • @ownedufoo2 doesnt matter when i built a computer after watchin his tutorial and been workin fine for 2 years now :) dont hate

  • What is that silver thing again P step plug?? :|

  • i wish i have a change of winning,

    hehe

  • Yay the fun part begins

  • In one video he say's that a gaming computer need's over 3.00 ghz yet alienware doesn't. Could anyone explain that to me?

  • @benybe1234 It depends more on the amount of cores than the frequency. You can have a 3.00 ghz duel core but the 2.7 ghz quad core would be better.

  • Did he really just say that the front side bus is in the northbridge and that the BIOS is in a coin cell battery. What a fucking retard

  • @KissMyDonkeyEditing2 uhm, so if someone makes a little mistake, he's suddenly a retard? STFU turdhead he built a working PC, and some little mistakes he made don't matter >:(

  • @KissMyDonkeyEditing2 You know its funny comments like yours make it seem people like you are perfect in every way so he made a mistake... you do it all the time so stfu.

  • @whitemanwii Listen I'm sorry I was just mad that day and venting some steam. Hes not an idiot and I am lol. But to the comment below this one if you actually are planning on building a PC those small details can actually matter so just be careful. And again I'm sorry thenewboston I was just angry.

  • hey here's a good idea MAKE UPDATED VIDS OF THIS EVERY 2 YEARS!

  • @Randomshit1353 That's a hell lot of work, and this is still pretty up to date. Enough up to date to understand everything, so, I build my PC with this tut, just a month ago, with modern stuff.

  • i like that he told us to close the box

  • isn't on board video and audio really a bad idea?

  • hey so wut screws do u really use for the motherboard any special screws

  • well. UH.... NOtheing

  • I wanna buy a socket 1366 the asus rampage 3 extreme to be exactly and i now use windows 7 if i am going to install my new parts the motherboard and the cpu and memory do i have to install my operating system again???

  • @Roygevaar

Not sure, when you install the operating system, it is stored in the hard drive. Just as long as your new motherboard BIOS can read the hard drive, I think you should be fine, however, I would check on forums and stuff just in case.

  • Is he grounded? Anti static Bag "nothing" LOL

  • Your mother is a board.

  • the motherboard looks like a city and/or a metropolis

  • @superknife24 wow

  • What about a graphics card? did he show a video about those yet?

  • no the build he made has an integrated GPU, but graphics cards are really easy to install, easy as installing RAM

  • Comment removed

  • 1:38 "What a diligent thoughts"

  • thats a junky mother board cheap O

  • Cheap mobo!

  • I don't think he is going to spend alot of money for a tutorial..

  • @Maxxah u must consider that he might've originally wanted a new pc and decided to make a tut on the way

  • @Maxxah

He was probably planning to build one before he decided to make a tutorial...

  • @Maxxah He might want to build a computer so why not just make a tutorial..

  • @Maxxah maybe its for him but he thought of using this opportunity to make this a tutorial. "two birds with one stone"

  • @Maxxah

So what its about teaching people other people that want to learn about the basics of how to build a pc.

Nothing fancy is needed to do that

  • bucky you tutorials are awesome they are literally

step by step. "Take out the bag now" lol

  • 1:14 "Well, so nothing" hahaha

  • just to let you know , my class is using these vids in computer class! THANKS BRO! without these vids. we'd be clueless building a computer! good job on explaining. it really does help.. KUDOS!!!

  • just as a helpful hint... AMD is waaaay cheaper.. but a little less stable (proscessor) and weaker.. the price though doesn't show it .. and is a steal.. and is my most recommended for any build.. but that's my opinion.. intel.. better ... but not for a simmular priced AMD

  • @jetkingknight Umm sorry dude, you don't know what you're talkin about... AMD chips aren't less stable or weaker. And I know because I've been building AMD rigs for 10 years. I overclocked a Phenom II 920 from 2.8GHz to 3.4GHz on its stock cooler with no problems. Stable? Definitely. Weaker? I don't even know what you mean by that. You are correct about AMD being cheaper, though. Damn people need to think before they post shit.

  • any1 got some tips for what i should get? builing a new gaming rig. no clue, first time :p. lolz x). price around about 1500-2000$ i guess.

  • @O0oXvXo0O well, for 2000, you can get like, anything. get a core i7 CPU, like 6 gb's of ram and an ATI 5970 >:{D

    now that's a computer!

  • @O0oXvXo0O You can get away with using an Intel I5 because they are plenty fast, two four gb ram sticks, and a couple of 1 gb Video cards

  • What about graphic cards? Does that follow with some motherboards or is it only you that isnt using one?

  • He's using a mobo with built in audio/video instead.

  • Ok, thx :D

  • Graphics cards are a breeze... just fit it in the slot and plug in the power supply if it has a built in fan and thats it

  • intel or amd?

  • That's what I'm wondering. Right now I have two builds in mind - one each. With the AMD build I get more CPU power without overclocking for $120 less than the Intel build, but I've heard you can't beat the stability of an Intel CPU on an Intel board. I'm conflicted.

  • Go AMD. I've had no problems with my AMD CPU, and the hyper-threading that you're paying extra for in the i7 and (I think) i5 just isn't worth it.

  • nah ill stick with intel its really stable...ive been running a p4 in my machine for 7+ years and still running perfectly

  • A P4, you're getting about what you payed for. I'm saying that if you have to choose between an iX processor and an AMD processor, go with AMD.

  • Well congratz, I have no idea what you said, because id I did I wouldn't need to watch this tutorial. dickweed

  • intel controls 81% of the market. get an i7 or i5 core. They are great

  • the battery that you talk about on 2:36 if you have i desktop and it has a password that you have to type in to get on and you forgot the password you can just take that little battery out for a few mins and put it back in you can make a new password

  • It's also a very good idea when handling the motherboard or anything with open circuits to ground yourself to prevent static electricity. Static does NOT agree with open circuits.

  • Yeah, sorry, got my information mixed up. I made an assumption that it was better, but I based that assumption on how ATI holds the top 2 fastest graphics cards, which I thought were the 5850 and 5950. I didn't know about the 5x70 cards.

  • the 5870 is a great card for a great price. way better than the 285 at the same price. get the 5870 if possible

  • Supposedly, the 5870 is better than the GTX 295. ATI apparently holds the top 2 in the 3 best video cards, and since there's no 5950 that I'm aware of, the top 2 Radeons would be the 5970 and the 5870.

  • Is that the same motherboard he had in his earlier videos? i dont think it is. ??

  • No, it's definately not. The one he had earlier was probably a full ATX, it had something like 4 PCI bays and was just generally larger. That was probably just an old one or a broken one that he was using to describe the layout without worrying about handling it incorrectly.

  • Purplely

  • in the choosing a mobo vid, you said dont pick a noname brand.

what kind of brand is PC Chips?!

  • @DaREDrobberZ

I guess he just bought that to use it in this video :)
