It appears that cantonese lyric is much more matching the melody than English one! Impact is more deep. Of course, it is only illusion to me because I am cantonese speaking guy.

I agree, this song is written by Cantonese so the melody works better with the Cantonese lyrics.. also the singer in this English version tried to build climax in this song by expressing in a stronger way, I still prefer the softer side of the Cantonese version.

It's a different style preferred by different cultures. Both are great. As a Chinese growing up in Canada, I think the build up in this version is very good, but the voice could be even stronger
