wow this video is from when we first started learning Zouk about years ago!!! Boy have things changed since then... How did you get a hold of this??? Talk about blast from the past!!!

It is zouk. I've done zouk classes with both of them.

You can clearly see the basic zouk step. It might not be very "rio" style but its still zouk.

As said before, brazilians dance like this, kind of... don't they seem a bit stiff around the hips, though?

personaly, I'd lay off the excessive hair-tossing and acrobatics. it's an unnecessary affectation that only distracts you from the dance itself. Zouk is very sensual and I think sloooow and with lots of pelvic movements is way better ^_~

This surely is zouk, there are lots of different forms of zouk. This is the Brazilian variant (comes from lambada), as said before by others here. This form of zouk dancing is teached at most dancing schools

That's the way brazilian dancers use to dance zouk music. The dance is actually lambada, danced with more soft movements, in order to match the music itself.
